The Suns will slip up once. Ainge may have to give his friend Doc a "call" for the last game of the season :)

Mixed bag of results last night. 5 meaningful games tonight. In order of importance (imo): WAS over BRK (keep #3 hope alive); HOU over DAL (for the lottery); BOS over NOP (HCA); NYK over CHA (BOS HCA implications); POR over OKC (DAL seeding implications).

Love these multiple plot lines!!

Not sure how you can not put our game first on your list. Can MAYBE see the BRK game being more important but the DAL game? Getting HCA is much more of a priority than getting the 12th vs 16th pick, imo.

Don't disagree with your priorities, but the HOU/DAL game is probably THE definitive game as far as whether Dallas makes the playoffs or not. Don't see that the NOP/BOS game is quite as critical re HCA (but it's close).

The Clippers have that 4th seed locked up. I'm sure Doc will rest his guys. Maybe Blake might get some run to work him into game shape, but I can't imagine Chris Paul, DJ and Reddick getting heavy minutes. Let's just hope that the Suns squad is better than the Clippers' scrubs.

Yup, if Dallas loses this one they will probably not make it since I don't see them wining at Utah with the way the Jazz are playing D.

It really has made this season much more interesting. I was getting pretty bored/burnt out at one point but this is bringing me back.

I imagine much of this has been posted above, but please forgive me for not checking. Anyhow:

If I'm reading it correctly, Dallas, Houston, and Utah have a round-robin coming up with each other, and otherwise they'll be playing opponents who won't have anything in particular to play for. The rest of this post assumes they win all games except against each other.

If they all go 1-1 in the round-robin, everybody's tied, and it goes to tiebreakers. If somebody goes 0-2, they have the worst record, so they're out of the playoffs.

Tiebreaker rules are in http://www.nba.com/news/features/playoff.tiebreakers/

http://www.slcdunk.com/2016/3/31/11341098/nba-playoffs-2016-houston-rockets-dallas-mavericks-utah-jazz-three-way-tie-information also has the tiebreaker rules, and has further information, which seems to boil down to if the 1-1 round robin scores go one way (Houston beats Dallas, etc.), then Dallas is out of the playoffs, while if they go the other way (Houston beats Utah, etc.) Dallas is in. But I didn't follow the argument closely enough to check it.

All that said, it doesn't look like the difference between 8th and 9th in the West will amount to a lot of draft slots.

Thunder are resting their men against Portland tonight, shouldn't matter too much as I don't think Dallas can catch the Blazers at this point

Still the most critical team is MEM guys...Also if DAL loses both HOU and DAL game and wins other 3 (MEM, @LAC, SAS) they would be better vs MEM in any two or even three tie.
