Can we trade that TPE exception with Yabu and a pick to Houston for Capela?

We're still signing Tacko Fall, right? Him and Tremont Waters are already bonding.

The longer it draws out it feels like its going to happen. Didnt think it was his MO with the Lebron/Davis show. I won't be shocked tbh

Wonder what Danny has planned.

As of right now, we won't have a TPE. Even if we did, we can't combine those with player salaries for matching in a trade.

Wake up and see every big has pretty much been signed. This is a massive screw up. I'm happy about Kemba but Al going to a rival and now Favors RoLo and others being signed. Who the hell is going to defend Embiid or Giannis?

I mean the top 3 teams in the east now if Kawhi stays have DeAndre Jordan, Horford/Embiid, and Marc Gasol.

And were sitting here hoping for Kanter.

We need to sign Cousins and we need him to get as healthy as possible.

Its going to happen. Has anyone ever refused LeBron? Other than Carlos Boozer of course.

I should be happy about Kemba signing but Im not after watching how the free agency is turning out. If the measure of success is how stable the organization is and sustained results - playoffs, then GJ Ainge and co, you did it. But if the ultimate goal is to win the title, this team hasn't moved closer since IT era.

I'm afraid it's a done deal. Lebron's friends tweeting about it.

Plus, Bullocks signing with the Knicks. He was the key for the Lakers if they don't get Kawhi because he had a small cap hold, allowing them to use cap space on 2-3 guys then come back and resign him.

It is was it is. Another mini-era when only an injury/suspension can make the season interesting. Lebron can only win with the odds heavily tilted in his favor. Great player though.

Cant blame them.

I blame Kyrie and Rozier fighting all season long killing the entire chemistry of this team.

Can we undo the Baynes trade?

You really think Nets are too 3 without Durant? I think Pacers, Magic, Sixers, Raptors without Kawhi, and even Celtics are all better than Nets next year. I wish we had full MLE, then Cousins would be an option.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

No but next year they will and the nets should be in the playoffs at least...5 or 6 seed unless kyrie submarine's that teams chemistry as well.

-- The Hornets/Rozier rumor has half his salary being as much as $9 million.
-- Baynes is at $5.453 million.

So just with that we have $35ish million coming in and $40ish million going out. But with $40ish million going out we COULD have $50ish million coming in. So unless I'm missing something, there's plenty of opportunity to take in, for example, Olynyk's salary.

Of course, any such analysis ignores the issue of luxury tax repeater penalties.

Kemba's contract will take us to 109 million in payroll, we can go about 22 million higher without being tax repeaters.. assume we use the full MLE, that becomes 13 million.. so we couldn't take back two players from Miami - we'd go into the luxury tax again and we're hard-capped..

We can't take any more contracts without having enough salary to give out.

Assuming Fencer's estimations are correct, we'd have $40M outgoing for $50M incoming salary. Kemba's salary is at $32.7M. That leaves $17.3M we can take on.

Use the one on the right column.

Heat aren't giving up Adebayo. So what combo of two players can you fit into that $17.3? We can only get one player with the other player going to a 4th team. Oylynk's salary (going to Celtics) is too small to combine with Richardson's (going to Sixers) to make a legal match.

Right. They'd have to meet the goal with two players, one of whom we can take on and the other of whom they'd have to dump elsewhere.

An even more complicated scenario arises if they find a home for Dragic or whoever, but need to take a partial salary match back, and want to dump either that guy on us or, again, a cheaper one from from their current roster.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".
