Omg I've been in love with Eva Green for like 20 years lol.

The show is on my list but I'll probably wait for the whole season to be out.

Nothing special after four episodes but it kinda reminded me of one of my favorite British series from years ago, Spooks/MI5.

Highly recommend Shadow & Bone for anyone with Netflix. It's a really well-written fantasy-style drama with an excellent ensemble cast. S2 just dropped and it's been even better than the first season, doing what any great 2nd season does; expanding and exploring the universe it set up in the 1st one. Only 8 episodes per season. Just inhaled the 2nd one and am already depressed it's over.

Watched the final season of Servant on Apple. One of my faves. I thought it got a little corny as it went on if I'm being honest but I'm still down with it.

It's an M Night Shyamalan series. Creepy and twisty and lots of fun imo. I'd tell you what it's about but the entire premise is pretty jaw dropping and I don't want to spoil it. Great acting and an off-the-rails plot.

I liked season 2 more than season 1 actually.

I watched the 1st season and liked it in some ways but it just depressed the hell out of me lol. Like, I thought it was good but I can't really say I enjoyed it if that makes any sense. It was hard to like any of the characters and every possible thing went wrong in the worst way in every episode. So I'd come away grumpy as hell and kinda wondered why I was even watching. Just me though I guess.

Season 2 wasn't quite as heavy and doesn't hit you over the head with constant stress and misfortune.

I guess that's the direction things are going. I'm not happy about it either.

And, the one & only ‘Jack’ retired from acting - sadly because I believe he is ill.

For a moment I thought you meant Dom DeLuise. I guess you meant Daniel Day Lewis, lol.

Both Di Caprio and Streep have been in Netflix movies. I haven't watched either but both received poor reviews.

exculpatory wrote:And Russell Crowe has literally gained 100# since he was the buff Gladiator 20 years ago & the buff cop in LA Confidential.
The Departed was simply magnificent w Jack, Damon, Di Caprio, Sheehan & many others.

I just saw 'LA Confidential' for the second time (after 20 years) a couple months ago. Excellent movie.

Like Robin, Ricky is both a brilliant & fearless comedian who also, IMO, possesses remarkable serious acting skills.
And Chris Rock.

I actually did see the first two seasons of After Life and felt the same way as you. But before season 3 arrived, things happened in my life that made me not want to watch anything related to aging/death, so I may or may not watch the last season.

Lololol. Of course Daniel Day Lewis - Olivier like.

LA Confidential magnificent!
The Departed quite deservedly won the Oscar. Phenomenal.
Embarrassingly, I have seen Gladiator 15-20 times. LOL.
Connie Nielsen - I have no words. Yowser!

Understand. Third season was not nearly as good.

I watched the movie Knock At the Cabin. It's free on Peacock now. Thought it was decent. Cool premise, suspenseful, good acting etc, but I was waiting for a twist at the end that never really came, so it was somewhat unsatisfying.

Also a little disappointed with the new season of Mandalorian so far. I mean it's Mandalorian and it's fun but it kinda feels like they're mailing it in now. Not very exciting imo. And there was a huge chunk of episode 3 with some new side characters and I don't know what they have to with anything and it didn't even feel like I was watching the Mandalorian anymore. Hopefully it gets better in the next few weeks.

On the flip side I'm stoked for the return of two of the best shows on TV Sunday night: Succession on HBO and Yellowjackets on Showtime!

I've been enjoying Shrinking on Apple. With Jason Segal and Harrison Ford. Totally different show than Ted Lasso but it has a similar "comedy with heart" vibe.

Also, I haven't gotten into it yet but I saw the new Netflix show The Night Agent is getting good reviews.

Yeah that 3rd episode put me to sleep. Also, agree with the season being ho hum. Disappointing so far.

I am 3 episodes into Night Agent and so far it is excellent.

Happy Air Max day to all the Celtics fans! Wearing my AM1 Concepts mellows to church and Air Safari emerald greens to gym later so a full Boston/Celtics themed day on the feet.

Beethoven most likely had Paget’s disease (a metabolic bone disease characterized by very high bone turnover) involving the bones of the inner ear resulting in deafness & hepatic cirrhosis related to lifelong alcohol abuse and chronic hepatitis B (which, BTW, is much more likely to be sexually transmitted than HIV).

Season 2 of "Yellowjackets" so far is nuts.
Also watched "Unstable" 8 episodes and a quick watch. Quirky and pretty funny.
