Despite what some GSW-local reporters want us to think, we are not out until the decision is made. Quit believing the hype.

We are out. Just have to root for OKC now.

What happened in 2007? Were we frontrunners for KG? Seriously don't know.

Celts and Lakers and Suns had the best offers on the table. KG didn't want to come without Ray. Celtics got Ray then they went after KG again.

I do not buy he will go to gsw, that would be a weak move.

Let's be real. Durant has had how many months/years to think about this?

This is The Decision without the cameras and Jim Gray.

The only acceptable choice is Boston (no bias here).

If he stays in OKC, this was all an ego stroke and should be criticized as such.

If he goes to GS, this is a complete reversal of his "character" and should be criticized as such.

I hope he gets this shoved in his face until he chokes on it if he chooses the Warriors.

I think that's a good sign. If we were out and Boston knew it, it would be out there already.

He's a Bay Area reporter.

I don't follow the Warriors as much as the Celtics but from what I do now he is a reasonable reporter that doesn't just make stuff up. He has to have gotten this from the Warriors brain trust.

If Celtics lose this, IMHO it will be from not handling year 1 of the rebuild better. After that, Ainge recovered pretty nicely but with better moves in year 1 Boston would have a much stronger hand right now to play. Celtics have a strong hand to play thanks to Billy King but Celtics could have been the perfect scenario.

Emerging great team without KD with the ability to add KD/Horford and still have picks coming. If he hypothetically wouldn't leave OKC for that, all of the meetings were a joke.

This ish is ridiculous.

Hes got fans from all of these teams hanging on by a thread. He's legit going to ruin several fan bases weekends with this decision.

Come on KD - either come to Boston or sign a 1+1 in OKC but whatever you do please DO NOT go to GS!!!

I am at Summer League in Orlando and hearing lots of stuff. I can confirm that Boston is VERY much in the mix for Durant. Like 1 or 1A and that he will decide by tonight and announce on The Players Tribune.

We didn't have the best assets, but Suns weren't willing to put Amar'e at the table, Chicago was classically stingy and Warriors loved KG, were willing to offer Richardson but Biedrinš was a deal-breaker for them (KG didn't want to go there that strongly, so they were very cautious), so Celtics had more than enough time to appease KG by trading for Ray Allen and essentially being the only possible offer Minny could accept.
But the Cs were out of running for KG for about two weeks, he specifically declined coming here before trading for Ray Allen.

I made a separate thread, so it wouldn't get lost in the other one. Sorry for making people look two places, but I wanted to share.
