Well, on the other hand that can also be an allusion at the way Celtics’ were conducted... Anyway also a stupid question, Government are meant to Control people, everybody without two eyepatches knows that...

If he couldn't trade him then he should have bought him out. You have to do something when you are competing for a championship. Hayward should have played much less too, but they were trying to build up his trade value. There was no sense of urgency. It's weird when you have a star player in a final year of a contract.
LOL. Just pay him to go away when we were trying to make a run at a title? Yep, sure, that would have helped.
Making a run at a title with him as a backup, really wasn't a run at a title. It would be an addition by subtraction. This team clearly had too much "talent".

Re: Kyrie Irving Thread, Part 2 -- Which Way is he going?
He had a huge chip on his shoulder this season because he couldn’t accept the fact it performed better and went farther last year in the playoffs without him. Looks like he resented the respect Brad got, particularly. This was supposed to be all about him and he didn’t live up to it. I think he’ll have the same fate everywhere he goes until he truly learns how to be a true #1 on and off the court. He’s mega talented but he’s still got a lot to learn if he wants true success as the top dog.

Please let this be true, not because I want Kyrie back. I just want him to end up with a team like the Hornets or something. That would be hilarious.

He'd just go to LA at that point.
Kyrie knows the damage is done and he can't look any worse than he does now. Tucking his tail and crawling back to "Daddy" Lebron is child's play at this point.

Can you imagine if he gets spurned by both New York teams and decides to return instead? This board would have yet another melt down about Kyrie ruining the franchise......again.

LA cant afford him unless he wants to go there for 24 mil...about 12 less than hes due to makeBigTrade92 wrote:Scarletfire81 wrote:Please let this be true, not because I want Kyrie back. I just want him to end up with a team like the Hornets or something. That would be hilarious.

Lakers will create max cap space. All they have to do is agree on a deal with someone, sign him first with cap space they already have and then complete the trade with NOLA.

Kyrie is about 3 years away from moving out to the woods to get "off the grid" like Randy Quaid.

Exactly. If you don't think the Lakers can't finagle a way to create a max slot, you're fooling yourself.
If again wants to play for his daddy, they'll find a way to make it work.

Dont they have just a bunch of low salary guys left on the roster? Where are they creating space?BigTrade92 wrote:IlCapitano wrote:KGboss wrote:LA cant afford him unless he wants to go there for 24 mil...about 12 less than hes due to make

Reading more about this they have 3 guys who they can move all make about 1.5 to 2 mil a piece and have no value or they can move Kuzma which they dont want to do.KGboss wrote:Dont they have just a bunch of low salary guys left on the roster? I thought so too but last night I saw this:
And a bunch of cap experts confirmed it's true.
I think now they're shopping cash for some unguaranteed deals like Morey did when he traded for CP, then they sign a max FA or multiple other guys and then trade those unguaranteed guys + low salary guys they have on roster to NOLA or a third team. The only way it fails is they can't find a third team anywhere but we know there'll be someone.

I thought someone said Davis could also waive his trade kicker? Or if someone is so hell bent on joining the Lakers they can take less than max.
That said - that team will be incredibly susceptible to injury especially if they can't get enough ring chasers on the bench.

Re: Kyrie Irving Thread, Part 2 -- Which Way is he going?
Watching Kyrie go to LA & all 3 of them taking turns being hurt & placing blame on their teammates will be so **** funny.
Either way Kyrie isn’t winning another ring. If he goes to Brooklyn solo or with a broken KD It will blow up in his face. It’s how the world works. He completely burned down the Boston Celtics on his way out of town. He’s too toxic of a personality — he had to be paired with the absolute BEST version of LeBron to win that one title. Not happening again whether it’s in LA or Brooklyn.
**** him forever.

I would 110% take Kyrie back. Bring him back and sign Mook and the team can still compete. Maybe not win but compete and not be an absolute friggin laughing stock. Also it would mean the Knicks probably sign Scary Terry to a ridiculous deal because....well...Dolan

He contributed but I think you're looking at the wrong PG being the genesis of all this. Many people have confirmed on this board including some insiders that Rozier was the biggest issue. Kyrie was just a weird, undecided, diva. But the rest of your thought is spot on. He cannot be the #1 option on a title contender unless everything breaks exactly right. Ironic part is that if the Celtics did make the finals this year he would have been the #1 on a title team.

NY or LA will take him. Zero point in having him return here with Davis and Horford gone.
