I wouldn't trade Smart and Hayward for either one never mind RWIII and two draft picks.

I’d personally do the deal.
With Detroit’s next 10 unprotected 1st round picks coming back our way.

In his trade is Blake Griffin 8 years younger with bionic knees and a crazy motor? If so that's a pretty interesting offer.

I saw the picks in the deal and said, 2 is not enough coming back. Even unprotected with the guys they're getting they won't be great. Then realized we were supposed to be sending them.... Would be a nice deal for DET, I give them that.

Lol that has to be a troll account. Literally the worst trade I’ve ever seen.

He seems to be the Pistons writer for a site called Fansided. Not a troll, just hilariously deluded.

Something interesting. I did some research on while trying to talk to the General Board (Good Luck to me!)
Just look at the Celtics & Bucks records through December 11th.
Top 6 teams in the East: Mil, Tor, Ind, Phil, Mia, Bos
Bucks Record
Against teams with a winning record: 6-3
Against teams with a losing record: 15-0
Against Top 6 in the East: 2-2
Against the Celtics: 0-1
Celtics Record
Against teams with a winning record: 6-4
Against teams with a losing record: 11-1
Against Top 6 in the East: 3-1
Against the Bucks: 1-0
Not much difference to chose from expect the Bucks really beat up bad teams.

Tatum debuts at 4th in ESPN's RPM rankings. Brown and Hayward are 25th and 28th, respectively. Jayson is also 2nd in DRPM.

Theis - 46 (4th in DRPM)
Kemba - 66 (13th in ORPM)
Kanter - 104
Ojeleye is 42nd in DRPM (11th among PFs, just a spot behind Giannis)! Hayward is 20th in ORPM. Kanter being 17th among centers in DRPM instead of his usual bottom of the list placing is a minor miracle.
DISCLAIMER: SMALL SAMPLE CAVEAT APPLIES.

I'm kind of RPM-skeptical especially with such a small sample size, but it does give a nice launching point to discuss Theis's level of play on defense, which has been one of the many unexpected joys so far this season.

Re: Celtics General Regular Season Thread 2019-20, Pt1: aka, Team "Fresh Start"
Entering our mini-break, Celtics have:
• 17-7, 6th best record in the NBA
• 2nd least losses in the East behind Bucks
• 7th best ORtg, 8th best DRtg, 5th best NetRtg
• 24 combined missed games from top 6 guys
We're at least on par with, If not exceeding, preseason expectations. And Stevens-coached teams usually do better 2nd half of the season. Need a long stretch where our top 6 or 7 are healthy.
Wishlist for me still remains an upgrade to one of our bigs (R.Williams can't stay healthy enough to get enough reps and may be a year away from being a reliable playoff performer anyway) and veteran bench depth in case of injuries.

Doesn't Kanter always play Embiid well? It's every other center that we have to worry about.
That said....I like Kanter a lot.

Celtics moved up to 4th best net rating without even playing a game. We're that good.
75-7 still in play. And CHAMPIONSHIPS.

When you have to rely on your top four scorers, this is an ideal result for such a lineup:

Wish we had Kemba/Tatum/Gordon/Jaylen for more possessions/minutes together. But alas, **** our injury luck.
