Would anyone here be interested in chasing Minnesota's pick?

Vaguely, depending on cost. Guessing Smart + 14 may get it done, but not sure if I’d want to do that.

Want some feed back, at 26, how would you guys feel about Boston drafting Jaden McDaniels?

Pros - a high ceiling player at 6'10.. once was considered a poor man's K Durant. Can he be this year's MPJ??

Con's - is so damn skinny.. and his floor is 2 year away perhaps..

may not even be there, but can go anywhere from 20 to 2nd rd.

Looks like everyone at the top want to be in the middle. Outside ball and wiseman and even those 2 are not for sure gems. Looks to be safest picks Edwards and Deni probably can be good at just about anywhere and then it speculation city . I personally like Kong and Hayes and precious and halliburton and poku as the high ceiling guys. And think about a dozen players if right team could be legit but on wrong team be a bust. And then the other guys one always comes from project to success. always one second rounder that balls out. Always one non drafted guy gets minutes.
This board has analysis and usually great takes about 50 deep players. Until combine and info starts to come in I'm reserved to liking my guys I have about ten of them that would fit in the statements above. Precious, s. Bey, Nesmith, Williams, Hayes, bane, Kong, ball, halliburton and oturo until I see something different those are my guys in no order but mostly fall under team fit team grooming and special it factors and yep not 1 player a tiny guy, I do like a couple in the draft but it's mostly the leadership stats I like in little dudes. So they could be had in 2nd or late 1st.

I think he is more likely to be this year's Jalen McDaniels (his brother). I'll pass.

Saw a rumor of Smart and another first to GSW for #2 with the idea to select James Wiseman.

Have ZERO idea if that’s even on the table and could be completely bs lol. Any insiders on here have any knowledge on Celtics draft plans?

If Ainge thinks wiseman will be an all star you do that. Marcus smart is a great role player, but that is what he is a top 8 guy on a championship team not a top 3, if Ainge can trade for a top 3 you do it. One of GH, Kemba or Smart won't be here in 2021 its a reality we have to do something to fix our 5 situation IMHOP. Smart's contrat makes him very desirable. If Ainge thinks he can get an all star at 2 you take the all star. Yes Smart is one of the best defenders in the NBA, yes he sets a tone. Tough guys are easy to find and JB and JT are really good defender too. I would also trade GH or Kemba for 2 but they don't fit in the TPE. Again it comes down to ainges evaluation of Wiseman. If he is an All star you do it, if not you don't.

Has anyone else noticed that nbadraft.net has been down for at least like 36 hours?

Yeah. Looks like their server is dead. Can't believe it takes this amount of time though.

14 - Precious Achiuwa
26 - Tyler Bey
30 - Payton Pritchard

No meat to it, just something thats been discussed and the general consensus is the value is about fair. Doesnt mean its the right direction nor am I advocating doing the trade.

I would take him 26 or later. There’s a 75%+ chance he’s James Young 2.0, but there are only so many 6’10 dudes on the planet that can dribble and shoot and he’s worth a risk that late in the draft.

I hope we stay away from LaMello Ball. Just not a fan of the way the 3 bros play ball. Way too high of a risk, with a fairly decent reward..
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

To add to my previous post, I doubt we keep all the picks- whether we draft out, or consolidate.. I don't expect Danny to make all the picks and keep them on the team(even if he's looking to stash 1 guy).

I'm staying away from Okongwu. Anytime a player's primary selling point is being the next "X", a player with a recent strong performance, in this case Bam, they almost always disappoint and generally bust. I think Okongwu will be a solid rotational player but he's not Bam. Can't shoot or pass. Doesn't have Bam's length or freak athleticism..

He will learn. Bam couldnt coming into the league either. I think OO can learn to shoot, he has decent form, his lower body is a little weird.

Bam and Okongwu are almost identical height with Bam having a 1 inch longer wingspan, But apparently OO has grown too. So there is alot of intrigue there. I think he will not be the offensive threat that Bam is, but he will be an excellent, switch everything defender. Thats the key.
