Losing assets for nothing gets you fired in any business. Kyrie, Al, Hayward

Also, the Celtics gave up assets to acquire Hayward & Kyrie. That’s a net negative folks, and even worse

WOW!

Are we even sure the Pacers had a competitive offer (to Gordon) on the table at this point? Doesn’t feel like it now.

Yes. Washburn reported it and is very reliable.

Yup, Washburn doesn’t just make stuff up.

This is an absolute black eye for Ainge and I hope is the nail in his coffin here as GM.

You let your third max guy leave and got NOTHING in return for any of them!

That is beyond a fireable offense. Just complete ineptitude.

I’m starting to believe that hayward had the Charlotte deal in his back pocket the whole time and was waiting for the pacers to up their money offer.

Maybe the deal was never as close as we thought

He obviously wanted Indy and Ainge misplayed his hand.

If your getting offered 120 or 85 what r u taking?

He wanted Indy until the Hornets came with a ridiculous offer, which he probably got yesterday.

What should we realistically do?

Rondo, Crowder DMC. See if any of those guys wanna come here. If we got 2 out of 3 even we'd have more of a bench than we did for most of the playoffs.

Will I be banned if I say Terry Rozier?

The alternatives are Batum or Cody Zeller.

Turner sucks.

He wouldn’t play. And has and albatross contract. Ncdermott wouldn’t get on the floor here.

Happier with this situation. Maybe we can get a S&T with Charlotte, who he signed with before as an offer sheet years ago.

Washburn said that’s what the Celtics and pacers were negotiating he never said a 3rd team couldn’t come in and blow Hayward’s Socks.

Indy could have offered 4/90 4/100 and Charlotte came in in the 11th hour with 130.

Do we know if Danny passed on Turner/Doug? If Supes knew what he was talking about a couple of days ago, Turner may not have even been available, said Indy wanted to give us Goga instead.

I'd take Vernon Carey and filler from the Hornets, if possible.

one championship isn't mediocre, my man. Championships are hard - you need all the right moves combined with injury luck. Perk and even to a lesser extent Rasheed's health cost a second championship with the Big 3 era.

Rozier + Zeller wouldn't be too bad. Zeller is expiring.
