reminds me a but of Tyus Jones.. Not spectacular, but can run a team and make plays.

Dude is really quick. Plays hard, feisty, tenacious. Fights on the boards, Shot 43% from 3 this year. 6'7.5" and a 39" vertical.
Defense I've seen some issues where he sometimes gets beat on back door cuts or dudes can sometimes score on him off the dribble. But the strength, speed and length are there to be a solid defender.
Game 2 from g league elite camp Hunter plays in:
Cool interview with him at 2:45:00. He says how off the court he's quiet but on the court "i'm a dawg" love that.
Then watching the game, they said he has 12 rebounds...with 12:42 left in the 2nd half! That's an insane number of rebounds with that much time left for a wing. He's feisty, tenacious, hustles for those boards!
My guy Tyrese Martin did this to Brad stevens former team, Butler:
You have a ton of players who "grow on you".. like Wings though so keep them coming!!

I am not feeling Chet as much a most. Maybe it is his frail frame that I feel won't gain muscle or weight for years or he looks injury prone ala Pozingus.. I am not sure. But definitely like JS and Paolo more..

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
With my second favorite player in Boston being out yet again (RW) Boston needs a good veteran insurance For RW and Ole man Horford AND a nice long term understudy in this draft if possible.
Make it happen Brad !!

Hard pass on him. He's not an NBA athlete. Personally I loved what I saw from Besson, Braun, Jaylin Williams and a few more, all who will likely be long gone come our pick. Now, don't laugh, but one guy who might be there and I wouldn't mind taking is Scottie Pippen Jr. He has very high BBIQ, can run the point, is a dog on defense despite being even smaller than Pritchard and reminds me of Brunson. He tested very well. He might be the type that starts for teams 3-4 years down the line. Every team needs legit third string PGs in case of injuries and if Pippen could ever start hitting threes at a reasonable clip he could potentially start in the right situation. If not, he can give you what a guy like Tre Jones and McConnell.
I'm still depressed that we don't have our pick

Is we decide to go for a player who is younger with super high upside...
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

then there's the prospects who are older like age 22 or 23 and ready to come in and contribute from day 1. Like Isaiah Mobley and this guy, Tevin Brown:

Sets a really nice pick at around 1:15. Most of these young intl bigs don’t set a single real screen in these highlight videos.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
Getting a player at 53 who can actually contribute down the line is extremly rare.
We also do not have such a great developmental system in place like Raptors or Heat... that is one thing that we need to improve...
At 53 I would go with the highest potential guy available... maybe someone like Nzosa who is years away from contributing... he can stay in Europe and we see how he develops in couple of years.
There will only be 5 guys picked after our pick, so we can get a few undrafted guys we like to summer league team anyway...

Tyrese Martin has great size for a SG.
Definitely a gamer, high motor player.
Hard worker who'll seek to improve.
UConn fan fav for sure

Yes, decent size at SG. Unbelievable rebounder for a SG. Really quick, light on his feet so I think he'll do ok with NBA spacing and faster paced game. He can shoot it pretty well too. Would be a solid pickup either with our 2nd round pick or as an UDFA. I can see him possibly cracking our rotation eventually.

He looks like Matt Bonner when he shoots! Can he defend at all?

I can see that. Kind of stiff/mechanical with the shooting motion. But hey, the dude has barely taken any 3's in his career so if he can go to the combine and make that many of them and the form looks decent enough, that's some good progress.
Yes, very good defensively, very good shot blocker. might have. some trouble here and there switching onto smaller/quicker guards/wings though.
