Yessir! Exactly right.

Dame/Tatum/KP surrounded by really good connective tissue guys like White/Timelord/Al and whatever else the roster will look like. That's the ticket.

Taking this a step further. If Portland doesn't want Brown, use a 3 way with Houston. Houston has a ton of young talent they could entice Por with. And I do believe Houston and Brown would get along for an extension.

They'd still have to risk Jaylen leaving in FA, but they already signed the two dumbest FA deals so Houston could do anything.

Tate would be a good get from Houston but I’m not sure what we really have to offer them. They can’t possibly need more picks

I'm getting pretty anxious. This is going to come down to Dame being more open minded.

Side note.....He doesn't know Boston. We have to remember that he's from the Bay area, and he's played his entire career in Portland. When a west coast team comes through Boston, once per year, it's super quick and as part of a 4-6 game swing. He isn't spending time in Boston, he isn't playing in playoff games in Boston....He isn't dining at restaurants in Boston. He has very limited exposure to fans and just the city in general.
This is a sell job. Sounds like JT is on it. The key is getting Dame to be open minded. I think he'd end up loving it in Boston. Everything about it.

White | Brown | Tatum | Porzingis | Timelord
Brogdon | Pritchard | Hauser | Brissett | Horford
Banton | FA1 | FA2 | FA3 | Kornet

I’m just gonna assume all three are minimum vet signings.

Javonte, Warren, and Griffin?

Walsh is gonna sign with a roster spot. 39th pick usually gets a guaranteed deal.

You have to sell him on Boston, on the teammates he’d play with, and on Joe. Tough work

Yeah that sums up Lillard for me as well. If they make the trade cool I'm sure he will be great, but he hasn't exactly been likeable through all this.

All though I agree, you will both 100% forgive him in a heartbeat when he comes here and makes us a juggernaut. Don't kid yourselves. I think Dame has been a complete b*** during all of this and I don't care. He makes us the clear favorites to win the whole thing. That is all I care about.

I do think its disrespectful to not let your guys know whats up.

Smart was blindsided, Danilo was blindsided.

Yeah, but my question is can you really stop them from being blindsided.

Like let's say they told Marcus Smart the day before the trade "hey, we think we need roster balance from moving a guard for a front court player. You're not our first choice to move. Ideally, we'd like to move Brogdon and we think we have some takers for him. So you should be safe, but if for whatever reason that falls through we'd probably have to pivot and move you. We don't expect that though."

I think he'd probably still be blindsided the next day lol

Lets see what you got for pull young man

Dame
White
Brown
Tatum
KP

Team is ridiculous

or

Dame
White
Tatum
KP
Timelord

with depth.

that team is supremely talented but would be a chemistry nightmare. that team would require 3 Basketballs.

Eh, idk. Dame has had an assist rate of 30% or higher 7 times. He had a 35% assist rate last season. Let's not act like he's some ball hog.

That lineup also contains an all-defensive player who is very unselfish offensively.

You've got a really good rebounder/rim protector.

And this lineup pushes JB into more of a Klay Thompson type of role as a off-ball shooter / cutter. He won't be doing as much on ball creation, driving into traffic..

Dame plays the steph role. Tatum plays the KD role.

That 2017 and 2018 warriors were arguably the best teams in NBA history.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Just a (probably obvious) thought - If you believe this story about JT recruiting Dame then it means one of two things:

1. Cs think they can get Dame without including JB
2. JB is openly okay with moving on

I just can't imagine JT would essentially be pushing for JBs departure without him being open to it. That would cause some serious locker room issues.
