Svi Mykhailiuk has to be feeling like a turkey the day before Thanksgiving right now.

Maybe, maybe not. On one side of the coin, if we were gonna get Konchar, he would have bene included in the deal for Tillman..

On the other hand, perhaps we are gonna get Konchar, but that piece of the deal needs further exploration/discussion/negotiation, etc. And perhaps the teams don't want that piece to hold up the Tillman deal - they want to just get the Tillman deal done and out of the way...and it might make things easier for BOS and MEM to approach them as separate mini-deals..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I’d also like Dunn, which is funny because I was vehemently anti Dunn in that draft.

He’s obviously a monster defender, but he’s become a good playmaker, and his outside shot has gotten good enough.

So, are we still giving up 2 x 2nds, along with Lamar Stevens?

I’d just as soon Dunn over something super boring like Torrey Craig or Julian Champagnie.

Tillman just fits into the Jackson TPE, right?

I'd prefer keeping PP, and adding a bench scorer. Kispert is as exiting as we'll probably get. He's got a legit motor, offensively.

I think they're comparable shooters and that Fontecchio is stronger, more athletic, quicker, better ball handler, better passer, better rebounder and better at driving and finishing near the rim.

Fontecchio is also 2 years older and is in his 12th season playing pro ball, compared to Hauser who's in his 3rd season which tells me Fontecchio is further in his development and more likely to be able to contribute in a playoff setting.

Eh. Let's remember Walsh is a 2nd round pick who had a rough season in college last year. And has played 0 meaningful mins at rhe NBA level.

And even if what you say is true, we aren't a rebuilding team that needs to keep 19 year old kids with "upside". We need win-now players who can get us over the hump to finally win our first title since 2008.

Simone would be replacement minutes over Svi/Oshae/Stevens/Banton, not Hauser.

Hauser DRB% 13.0
Fontecchio DRB% 11.5

Fontecchio is a better playmaker, but not by much. Both aren't very good in this area (H 6.5 Asst%, F 8.5 Assit%)

Hauser is better at threes based on attempts per 100 possessions.

That Hauser is 2y younger means he's got a higher ceiling.

Walsh is an extremely raw player with long arms who has elite defensive skills and has shown flashes of 3pt shooting and elite playmaking skills. His development is purely mental. He'll pass up open shots to a point that it will earn him a trip to the bench. He'll have slips in his shooting mechanics that result in bricks. That his ceiling is sky high isn't a matter of opinion. He could be a stud or a bust. That said, there's no doubt that Dunn and Olynyk are as good as they're going to be.

It's a moot point now. We're not getting Fontecchio - he got traded to the Pistons.

With that being said..
Contested rebound %
Fontecchio: 30.8%
Hauser: 18.2%

Hauser with a higher 3PA/100 possessions does not mean he's a better shooter. They''re both around the same mark this season on catch and shoot 3's. Fontecchio just doesn't take as many, since he's better at driving to the basket.

Also, assist % does not equal playmaking ability. Stats can help with an evaluation, but the eye test is really needed to fully evaluate playmaking ability. And perhaps Fontecchio''s assist % would be higher if he was actually on a good team with teammates who could make the shot in when he passed to them.

Lastly, Hauser is 26. He's unathletic and went undrafted. He doesn't really have upside left. He pretty much is who he is at this point. If anything, Fontecchio has more upside when you look at the dramatic jump in his stats (minutes, 3 FG%, etc.) from alst season (his 1st in the NBA) to this one.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

They should overpay for Caruso because he's good and if they don't make the finals it's crystal clear massive changes need to be made. You can't win with KP Tatum Brown and 3 absolute stud wing defenders you have to make big changes. You can't hide from that type of underachieving.

Yeah I wouldn’t move PP outside of Caruso and maybe Olynyk but that’s prob off the table now. Not sure what other guard/wing they could really upgrade him with outside that.

Are you sure?

$1,930,681 = Tillman.
$1,836,090 = Jackson TPE.

Yes. 2nd apron teams don't qualify according to reports.

We're not a 2nd Apron, until the New Season kicks in though, right?

I think that Brad took Tillman, cause he just fits into the Jackson TPE.
Not sure if the 2 x 2nds are/were necessary?
