It can't be, yet. Need to wait till July 10th.

But since Bogans is extremely unlikely to do better than 1 year $4 mil, the teams can be confident in structuring the deal.

I/K that but I was under the assumption that S&T can't be combined with other players

Going to be interesting to see what position we draft tonight, if its a pg could be a matter of time before rondo is gone.

I don't think Stern cares so much about the Celtics...

Sometimes you must completely destroy in order to rebuild. Think Mt. St. Helens.

Basically DA is looking to repeat the pre-2008 seasons in the interim; bad team but lots of trades, probably some for terrible and expensive contracts, in order to have the pieces to then assemble a championship contender that will last 3 or so seasons. Boston will likely be a terrible team for the next 2-3 years but then re-enter contention for the crown.
My name's Henry Connor.
Conner Henry was a Celtic.
Hence the pun.

Effectively the trade is complete when KG says it's done. KG controls everything. If this trade goes through I can't see why any Celtics fan wouldn't like this trade.

The Celtics get 9 first round draft picks in the next 5 years and KG and Pierce go to a team that has a chance to win in their last few years. Ainge would have done right by KG & PP and also set the Celtics up nicely for the future.

Win/Win.

Why. So we can continue and never win a championship with this group. I'm just being honest some people call themselves Celtics fans but it seems like they are rooting for the players over the team. Shouldn't it be the other way around

I really don't want a really, really bad contract, which is Wallace. And the only thing which this trade means that we are tanking really hard in the next season. That is a bad thing IMO. It is really hard to go from tanking back to winning.

I understand adding "assets," but adding the additional salary of a back up player does not make much sense.

If this trade goes down I will immediately become a Brooklyn fan which is shocking since I hate all NY teams passionately. But I really feel loyal to PP and KG and prefer to see them compete for a title rather than languish on a rebuilding team.

Classy move by Celtics if this deal goes down and good for rebuilding.

If this deal goes down it will be the first of many.

I'm calling it right now. In order to prevent this trade, Miami will offer Bogans a minimum deal. Bogans accepts their offer, and this deal falls apart.

I think rondo-green- Wallace could work. Team might be okay to watch losing a lot of 95-90 games because there won't be a go to guy at crunch time. Perfect way to gun for lottery in 2014 while developing a core.

I'm sure Bogans has already agreed in principle to a deal.

Of course not, but I like playoffs and when Boston isn't there ill enjoy watching PP and KG go at the Heat one last time.

I could see Ainge offering Wallace and a 1st round pick for a couple of 2nd round picks to a team and someone going for it.

Yep. Of course I'll still be a Celtics fan but I'll definitely be rooting for Brooklyn to win the championship, and my mom's technically from there anyways. I wanted to like them due to my mom's allegiance to Brooklyn, but fans on this board just turned me off.

It'll make me sick to see Pierce on the **** Nets. Not even Pierce and KG can get me to root for those ****. And why are we willing to take on Wallace's contract?
