Price vs Verlander will be a tough close out.
Hopefully, Sox win with Sale on Sat.
PS Lots of salmonella out there infecting poultry & dairy lately (as per the Infectious Disease email updates that I receive daily). I suspect that Sale was admitted with food poisoning/fever/diarrhea-related volume depletion.

We have the best fielders in baseball. Mookie's throw to 2nd to get Kemp out was unbelievable in real time. I've watched the replay 1000 times by now. Also Benintendi's catch, what more can you say about these guys. They deserve to be in the WS.

I'm sitting there in the ninth talking to Cora through the TV "Take him out. Take him out." Dude could barely find the strike zone.

But for Benintendi's great catch that would have been a hideous loss, and it'd have been right on Kimbrel.

In theory, closers thrive on urgency, so in theory, you can't really judge them until they blow a save.

That was Kimbrel's first career 5+ out save. Crazy game.

Also, our outfielders are best in league in the field. But we could use a guy like Bregman at third base.

He's a modern day "every closer we had before Keith Foulke."

I was thinking the other day about insanely good Koji was in 2013 (even though he lost a game in the ALDS). In my entire life as a sports fan, I've never had that much confidence in a player's ability to do his job.

Moreland back in the lineup tonight at 1B. Pearce has been excellent at 1B and he isn't in the lineup, Kinsler at 2B, don't trust Kinsler or Devers at 3B either, he caused a run last night for the Asstros. if Nunez wasnt injured he'd be there instead but both makes alot of errors.

Devers has no self awareness, just swings at every pitch like there's no tomorrow.

Missed the game. When Bettintende took that catch to close out the game, were the bases loaded?

I think I let Price start the 7th when he was rolling like that.

I would have had someone ready at this point - but yeah I would have left him out at least until he gave up another hit or two.

The broadcast crew completely jinxed Barnes by pointing out that he hadn't allowed a run all postseason.
