OK Now I am tight.. Daniel Otoro was just signed for a 10 day contract with Toronto. Thought he was on someone's roster already. He was in the G league. How and why Boston couldn't bring him in and sign him to anything weeks/months ago is pissing me off.

He may or may not be a hidden Gem, but I would like him more than J Parker for sure and possibly Kanter at minimum.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Brad Wanamaker got cut, and hence may be available.

He used to be solid.

I'm not attached to Tatum at all and I'm attached to Jaylen for off the court reasons.

Idk if anyone shares this sentiment with me but I've never felt more ambivalent about our star prospects. I wish Rob Williams could play 30 mins a game for 70 games.

I get that. I truly believe that Jayson will be a bona-fide All-NBA player, but I have zero sentimental attachment to him whatsoever. Conversely... I sentimentally like Jaylen, but I have zero belief in him ever reaching great heights in the NBA.

Cosign.

I also think Tatum could be an All NBA player--top 10 maybe--but I think he's still figuring out his game. I feel the same way about Jaylen but even moreso. Jaylen really doesn't know what kind of player he wants to be but he definitely believes he could lead a team (jury's still out in my mind).

He's played several games very well and looked like he was settling into his role. But theeennn a game later he's forcing everything when he has the ball in his hands. Tatum can fall into that spell too but I think he's been doing better. His career high for fga's is 37. Jaylen just took 36 with not a single solitary assist. That's high school ****. Antoine Walker had a similar game but shot the ball way better. He definitely shouldn't be shooting that much unless he's en fuego and even then...

Jaylen is a role player, albeit a big role imo, but he's not a 1b at this point in his trajectory. I can definitely see why you're not convinced that he'll ever be the player he thinks he is today. I'm more attached to his potential than to him.

Good dude off the court.

It just feels weird to not be attached to them. I should be but all I can think is that a healthy durable Rob Williams would be our best player.

Who would have thought removing a great coach and making him GM and bringing in a crappy coach with no experience would go wrong? I remember this board trying to convince themselves these were good moves.

I wanted sam cassell as coach and kenny smith as gm personally.

Couldnt be any worse!

Also would rather have kemba and sengun than Horford.

That deal was so short sighted and terrible.

Smart has been finishing better this season. 60% restricted area and 49% in the paint. Whether he can keep it up in the future, I'm not so optimistic on.

I'm not attached to either one of them but trading tatum would just be asinine. Trading brown I could easily live with depending on what we get back for him...

https://www.celticsblog.com/2022/1/3/22864988/jaylen-brown-wills-boston-to-a-win-10-takeaways-from-boston-celtics-orlando-magic is Smitty's Takeaways article from the Orlando game. It includes clips of Brown's two overtime assists. But frankly, despite being successes, they highlight Brown's limitations as the passer.

First, it's great that he made the nifty behind-the-back pass to Schroeder. But in fact, Grant was wide open for a transition 3. Brown evidently saw him and either chose not to or didn't feel he could effectively deliver the ball on the run.

For the second one, he stopped his drive and gathered himself before making the lethal kick-out pass to Horford. That worked fine, but a better passer wouldn't have needed the gather/reset step.

First, you take that ball to the damn basket. You do not pass outside for a 3 pointer on a 3 on 1. That is dumb basketball.

Second is completely fine and is just a nit pick of the nth degree.

where do I complain about Joe Johnson coming and going with so little fanfare? Is it here? This stuff is happening too fast, good thing we brought in all these guys I like, they magically remained healthy (which is like 1 in a billion odds on this roster), and now they're gone. And we let em off the hook!!
