I'm sure Bogans has already agreed in principle to a deal.

If Miami calls him between now and July 10, that agreement goes bye bye.

Classy move by Celtics if this deal goes down and good for rebuilding.

So your just going to give up on the C's lmao?

Of course not, but I like playoffs and when Boston isn't there ill enjoy watching PP and KG go at the Heat one last time.

Ohhhh ok, I'm the same way then.

Wallace's contract is the only part I don't like (not that I "like" trading these guys at all), but the fact is, with KG's reticence to leave, he doesn't have a lot of options. I thought Boozer's contract was bad, but I'd rather have one less year, ditto with Jordan. (They don't seem emotionally unstable like Wallace either as a bonus.)

What Danny has to do after this, is find a way to move Bass and Lee. Really hoping Lee to Minnesota or something like that. Maybe Bass to Utah. We need more cap flexibility.

Warriors were the other team that called about KG, talks didn't gain any real traction.. FWIW

It can't be, yet. Need to wait till July 10th.

But since Bogans is extremely unlikely to do better than 1 year $4 mil, the teams can be confident in structuring the deal.

I/K that but I was under the assumption that S&T can't be combined with other players

It can. The Nets already did it with Deshawn Stevenson in last year's JJ trade.

Holy crap..the amount of faith people put in draft picks is amazing. They would rather get those than proven talent.

I for one hope Rondo is our Wade, Humpries, Lee, Bass, Wallace are our cap space makers for LeBron and Bosh and the draft picks are our Dexter Pittmans and Norris Cole's. If we are banking on a 2018 pick to be good to help our franchise we are screeeeweddd.

Because we are going all in to suck so we have a real chance at Wiggins next year. That is all it could be. It could with us having Wallace on our team we will suck bad for the next 2 years at least.

we are stuck with that Wallace contract

I could see Ainge offering Wallace and a 1st round pick for a couple of 2nd round picks to a team and someone going for it.

Maybe Cleveland would be interested. I can't believe how many picks they have in this supposedly "all time crappy" draft.

And KG loses respect from me if he doesn't apologize to Ray Allen. The Nets are just as much our rivals as the Heat are, if not more so. I personally have no problem with them leaving to play for contenders, but it's incredibly hypocritical of KG to treat Ray the way he did when he'd go on to do essentially the same thing a year later.

How do we know Wiggins is great? He's a canadian player, and no one has ever seen him against real competition. Let's see him at Kansas first.

Why would Bogans turn down $3 mil extra? He hasn't made enough money to leave that much on the table to chase a ring.

Never thought I would be pissed the Jordan/KG trade didn't go through. At least Deandre filled a position and we could have flipped Pierce later for something else.

Now we would be paying almost 23 million for two guys to come off the bench

It is clear the plan at this point is full blown rebuild with an eye of becoming competitive after the 2014/15 season. There is a salary floor, so you have to pay someone. Who cares if that guy is Gerald Wallace? You will have $15m in expiring between Wallace and Lee during the 2014/15 season. Very useful when trying to acquire and all star with all the assets we will have.

Good point about the salary floor.

Nope, not in the slightest. Again, I don't hold it against either of them for going to rivals. If they're gonna leave the Celtics, I couldn't care less where they go. But the Nets and the Heat are both Rivals, and KG and Ray both willingly left to go to a rival. No matter how you try to spin it, it's the same thing.

LOL get real. KG never asked for this. He would be doing the Celtics a favor.
