Thad unhappy. Sixers involved as 3rd team but not getting Asik. It could be happening.

FWIW, these 2 tweeters seem somewhat legit, as in they work in and around the game. Not Woj-level sources but not in high school either.

No idea who gets what, but, yeah, Danny seems pretty intent on getting his fingers in this pie.

It will be interesting to see the details of this 3 way. I can't see Ainge moving Jeff Green for Asik. Could be Waiters moving to Houston.

Waiters to Boston.

just passing this along, you know how it goes

I have a guy at New England Baptist (celtics official hospital), says jermaine taylor was there yesterday (physical?). could be an extra body for after a trade, or could just be Ainge keeping tabs on fringe guys don't know, but he was most definitely at New England Baptist yesterday

Soooo one has Celtics, Hoston and Cleveland.

One has Sixers still in the mix.

Conclousion: No one knows jack about jack.

My guess is its somewhere in the middle.

The constant is cleveland OR the sixers seem to be the facilitating team, or third team, with the main2 being Houston and Boston.

Taylor injured his knee in the D-League and is out for the rest of the year so I doubt he would be signed. He was playing for the Red Claws so maybe that would explain why he was at the team hospital.

Well maybe CLE would want out of next year Varejao salary (9,7 mil, 4 mil guaranteed) to have enough room to go after Lebron with Bynum at center.

Than expiring Humphries+BOS 2014 first rounder may be enough.

Varejao to HOU
Asik to Boston
Hump, boston 2014 pick to CLE

Tom Moore ‏@tmoore76ers

#Sixers Young's frustrations Wednesday due to losing scrimmage & complaining to refs. Brown may have got on him for it.

Asik to ATL for Milsap makes the most sense for both teams. Thats probably the deal.

Waiters to Boston.

If Waiters in, then I think one of Lee, Bradley, or Crawford is going out to somebody.

Maybe Danny doesn't like AB at market value and decides to move him to get waiters to preserve cap space and help Cle land asik.

Lee is a player who played with Howard. Fits that Bill.

If we get Waiters AND Asik, thats a happy day right there. Waiters is a stud in the right system - his immaturity is what concerns me however.

#Cavs GM Chris Grant has green light to make a deal, league sources say, as owner Dan Gilbert not happy, expects more this season. #nba

Could be possible they would take Hump, first rounder and send out Varejao. That is downgrade Gilbert would not like it.

I doubt Cleveland is looking for first rounders if they're trying to win now.

My general belief is that when these reports get put out in the public sphere they've already been discussed and nixed somewhere along the way. Leaking might serve one party's interest but if a deal's getting done or on it's way towards getting done both parties are usually pretty tight-lipped because leaks will usually destroy the deal. In other words, we won't hear about the real deal till it's done. Doesn't mean it isn't any fun watching the various machinations but I put more stock in what DDB hears through back channels than I do with what some beat guy tweets.

All I'm hoping for is that we don't trade Green and we somehow keep our pick this year as the draft is expected to be great.... LAC's pick should be on the table, but our pick for Asik, you think it's worth it, cause I'm not sure?
Good assessment:

Entirely depends on where the pick falls, so it will require some foresight on Ainge's part if he is deciding whether or not to part with a pick (which I don't think is the case anyway).

I really doubt giving up our pick is even an option thats on the table. Maybe the LAC pick, but not ours.
