If he’s still connected I wonder if Brad is holding onto Hauser hoping Kasparas slides and then Brad can package Hauser and picks to a team like the Bulls for the 12th pick.

The Celtics ain't doing **** tonight. Probably draft a guy who will never amount to anything and call it a day.

Ah, cool. Wanna talk about the weather? It’s hot today but not as bad as yesterday.

I know no one likes a negative Nancy but that's the cold hard truth of it.

Man, I know people hate to see me talking because I am almost the total opposite of you on feelings on our future. I think everything can turn out roses to benefit us. Especially a few years ago before the world p’d me off! I’m more amenable to humbug mentality.

I say that because what you’re saying is grinding my gears, that means what I’m saying is grinding other’s gears, including yours. I don’t want to get on folk’s nerves (most of the time), but I’m going to keep doing it, I hope you keep doing your part!

I hope you’re wrong, but Brad did say he didn’t expect much to happen on draft night for the C's. That said, just because nothing happens during the draft doesn’t mean we won’t see moves later in the summer.

No you’re fine. I do expect Hauser to be traded though, no? Don’t see the benefit of hanging onto him after the draft.

You're way too optimistic but I've not really called you out on it and if what I'm saying is grinding your gears than your problem is with the Celtics, not me.

I think my take is objectively factual and not from a position of perspective.

They're **** next year and you just don't know it yet. You'll get there.

Simons and Niang

the 3 things they have in common:

1) Shooting

2) Cost savings..these deals allowed us to save a lot of money in tax bills, get us under 2nd apron so we can now aggregate salaries in trades, won't have frozen picks, can do sign and trades, etc.

3) flexibility. They're both on expiring deals. Which means we have flexibility with them. We could either:
a) trade them again this offseason
b) keep them and trade them at deadline
c) keep them and let them walk next summer in free agency
d) keep them and sign and trade them next summer
e) extend them this summer..

Lots of options..and they're both guys in tradable contracts, they're decent players, with good health so we could get some decent value back for them in a trade

And if we keep them, they can both shoot..Simons is entering his prime. Niang should have at least 2 more good yrs left in him..so there's a possibility for both to stick around at least 2-3 yrs here..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

What exactly is it that's happening later in the summer? Free agency is done, the draft is all dried up and we're going to get better at the end of the summer?

How? With what assets?

Well sure. But truthfully, what could he really bring back?

What's your problem with wolf? Perfect fit for our style, I think he'll be a good shooter, mechanics are solid. If we lose Kornet, he will look very attractive.

I agree they are **** next year but that is exactly why this is the year they're most likely to make a big move on draft night

Oh no problem with him, I don’t know much about him. I am just responding to Bisme’s post that the Celtics got uglier.

You wouldn't love to see it though that's the gag. Even when they won the Finals in 2024 you still were crying about some nonsense of "they should have swept the Mavs instead of in 5". It's ok to admit your whole shtick on here is getting old.

What value are you adding? Serious question. Not meant to attack but what's the point of all of your posts?

The good news for next season is that we'll actually get our money's worth out of purchasing NBA League Pass and we won't have to listen to Doris every 3 games.

Pretty funny:

Oregon senator calls trading Anfernee Simons for Jrue Holiday ‘crazy’

“Interestingly, last night I was watching the news and I saw that we traded Anfernee Simons,” Bonham said while stroking the side of his head. “And I thought, darn it, anyway, I’m gonna carry this bill tomorrow talking about my hometown team, wanting to stay in Oregon, and I think they just did something crazy.”

Bonham smiled and then continued, “Am I allowed to impugn the general management of the Portland Trail Blazers?”

The question drew laughter. He then read from an article at BlazersEdge.com on the trade: “Normally, a team will trade for someone more talented, younger, maybe to save money or to get future draft capital. It’s rare when a team takes an L in all four of those categories.”
