Using Butler as your example for this argument is not the way to go.

I have a serious deep confession to make to the forum.

I am more secretly afraid of the Indiana Pacers then anyone else in the east who I rarely even follow anymore. Dipo is Kyrie's age (he will be 27 in May) and I almost fear he has potential to become our biggest rival.

Those boys just don't quit either. They got a strong defense and they just pull games out their asses, like us last year!!!

F, Kyrie missed a layup in the clutch in Indy earlier in the year. :o That is almost unheard of!!!

We got to start cracking this Indy thing better starting with the game this coming week. We had a lot of wild rides with the Pacers last season.

Pacers don't get a ton of media attention though, small market bias their fans say etc.

There is no way in hell this team around Lebron is going to stay the same for the next few years. That team looks awful.

On a side note I can't recall Lebron ever being hurt this long before.

What about if they have strong emotions, bad behavior and conflict everywhere they go? Is that healthy?

No - but sometimes that’s just personality - Jason Kidd was a “coach killer” who once smacked his wife while she was spoon feeding their kid - that doesn’t mean he has a mental illness, he might just be a pr*ck

I agree, Pacers are very dangerous, because they are flying under the radar right now, but they are capable of beating anybody in the east. Oladipo missed 11 games for them, and they haven't missed a beat, other players actually stepped up, and now they are a really strong unit.

They play different style of basketball to most of the league, more controlled, not so much three point shooting, going into the post often, and they just suffocate most teams with their methodical style of play. They did that to Milwaukee and Philly(without Butler) recently, when they beat them by large margin. They almost beat the Raptors on the road too, they had a big lead, and kinda blew it in the end, but they are very dangerous.

Milwaukee and Toronto are better - Indiana is an excellent defensive team and they have upside because of Myles Turner's inconsistency on offense. Tyreke Evans is having a really bad year for them, he's on a 1 year, 12 million deal - so the biggest worry I'd have is that they manage to make a trade to add a significant player before the deadline.

Lonzo Ball shooting 47% from the FT line? I whiffed on my assessment on Luka, but was 100% correct on Ball.....well, maybe not. He's been worse than I had anticipated.

Yup. Homerclease and I have been saying this since the summer. The Pacers are legitimately good. They are long, athletic, deep, they defend and they have shooters. They are our second-biggest threat in the East behind Toronto.

Milwaukee is not better than Indiana. They have the best player, but the Pacers have more talent overall. Indy beats them in a seven-game series.

The Pacers are a really good and much improved team, but the Bucks still are the more dangerous with their two unstoppables. The Bucks were really held back by Kidd's regime and with that disadvantage gone, they have unlocked a whole different floor of their building. Granted the Pacers are a more deeper and rounded team, they would make a series difficult.

He's actually shooting .430 from the FT line and he's missed like 10 straight FTs in the past 2 games. For the money he's gonna make in the next 2 years, he might be a negative if this continues and he's shooting under .400 from the field in 1 and a half seasons.

I literally spat out my coffee listening to the multiple sauces guy(forgot his name), saying Ingram/Ball and Kuzma are better than Rozier/Brown/Tatum. He's such a LBJ nuthugger. To me not even a real journalist.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

I remember last year people were saying how the Bucks didn't pose a threat in a playoff series against us. Well they took us to 7 hard fought games, this season they have the talent/potential to beat anyone in the East with Bron out West. I would not be surprised to see them make the finals.

At least they waited until Gordon could torch them again before making changes.
