Maybe you forgot he put up 12.2ppg this season in Washington over 40 games, starting 37 of those. Brad W. is at 6.6ppg.
Ssshhhh don’t provide them evidence of the fact that Isaiah can still shoot, which is the thing we desperately lack and need off the bench. It ruins their narrative. They just want to blindly pretend he doesn’t exist.
11 bench points against LA. 10 against Minny. To honestly sit there say this bench couldn’t use a scoring PG when you got Wanamaker playing like ass and no one behind him is just pure craziness.
I love IT but he’s washed. He has no explosion he might get you 10 pts but he will allow 20.
Brad's system with IT was about maximizing his offense and hiding him on defense. As a bench player, yeah, he'd put up some numbers, but since the Celtics are already being outscored by other teams' benches, I agree IT is not a good choice. If you're coming off the bench for Miami, Milwaukee, Toronto, etc, and you look down the court and see Kanter and IT ready to greet you on defense, that is a happy moment in your life.
Honestly I'd rather have Lance Stevenson at this point. Lance is a head case, but was hitting the three at a good clip, has some size to defend, and is a good passer. Also, I am increasingly of the opinion that this team could use a head case. Marcus and Lance would be entertaining, to say the least. They could bring that bench mob mentality back to the C's; it's too much to expect Grant and Romeo are going to be able to step up at this point in their careers. This team needs someone with a nasty streak honestly.
