What a blessing this guy is....great, great trade. This is a Red-type trade.

Brad's a shark.

June 2021 - Brad flips a 1st rounder for Al Horford
February 2022 - Brad flips a 1st rounder for Derrick White
July 2022 - Brad flips a 1st rounder for Malcolm Brogdon

Adding 3 pieces like that in basically a 12 month span of time. And basically giving up nothing except 3 late 1st round picks.

Masterclass in taking a team from good to REALLY good.

Uncharacteristic of him, but odd timing for this post imo. The 2 turnovers White had were bad and he looked uncomfortable under pressure at times, and I’m a big DWhite fan.

He has his down moments, but INVALUABLE ADDITION!

That thread is a must-read for Celtics fans. Eye-opening, even for those of us who've liked this guy from the beginning.

Especially since he’s been a starter already half the year and we have enough guys with injury risk or we’ll just flat out load manage he’ll start a lot more, I think it’ll help his case to get the votes. DWhite deserves it!

Derrick White is the secret sauce to make the Brogdon-Brown bench pairing work:
• Browngdon w/o DWhite: -10.1 netrtg (676 poss)
• Browngdon w/ DWhite: +12.0 netrtg (289 poss)

Just another smart, fundamentally-sound player who can act as a connector, raise the pace when needed, and make sure our half court possessions don't become stagnant. And of course he makes our defense that much stouter.

Interesting. I have noticed that Brogdon and White do seem to have good chemistry out there, the way they play off each other.

He hasn't missed a game with Cs except when his baby was born.

This bums me out so much. Hope it's nothing serious or long-term. Neck injuries can be scary.

Tatum is our most impactful player on offense.
White is our most impactful player on defense.

Huge that White improved his 3pt shooting this year, needs to keep it up.

EDIT: Jrue Holiday, one of the best active shotblocking guards, has never reached 2.0% block percentage.

Elite shotblocker for his position/height.

I felt like he was rushing the shot and follow through was short, like he’s pulling a string. Either way it was different than when he’s confident and results are different too obviously.

yeah I was amazed with his shot makover coming into the season, and am almost equally impressed with how much of that makeover is almost completely gone so quickly.

Can he get a refresher over the ASBreak or such?

Wasn’t he decent to good recently before last night? I know he’s been up and down a few times this year, but maybe I’m just remembering it wrong and too lazy to look it up. Last nights game took everything out of me.

%s are fine, just talking about his sexy-as-hell-until-mid-November shooting form

it was literally only like 2 games ago that people on here were commenting in the game thread about how smooth his form was looking on his shot.
