JB had a great game yesterday, offensively and defensively. Also fought for rebounds.
What I noticed the most was that his mind works faster than his hands. You can see that when he pushes the ball he sees open guys, makes a small move to pass them the ball but realizes that it is too late.
I hope that at some time in the future the game will be slower for him in the passing department as it did for his penetration

I don't know if Jaylen has small hands but in general he has bad hands. I feel that's more the issue than coordination, and the primary reason why he won't do dunk contests. Just a theory on the turnovers.

Since I can demonstrably prove I am significantly older than 15, ::Points to the join by date:: Stan its not worth arguing with these Comedians around here they are just clearly playa haters. Who decided to have their ball in the Jaylen Brown thread. You just have to wait a few months and Jaylen Brown will prove these haters arguments "are like Afghanistan bombed out and depleted"
Pretty sure I saw one of them after the playoffs last year, was claiming Jaylen has peaked and will significantly regress this year. One thing about Jaylen is he seem to always try to improve that he run through the ceilings people have put on him.

At the end of the day, you need guys who can make buckets and JB does that very well. I like our chances with him on the team and you can’t argue the teams playoff success with him. I really didn’t enjoy seeing the team embarrassed by Nets in playoffs without him.

Most importantly, JB is having his best season ever - something we have said for 7 years in a row.

Wow you said it in 2019 when his stats were down across the board and the team massively underachieved? That’s commitment

In fact I did….and I was very vocal here about the fact that JB’s contract extension that year was a huge bargain when the haters said it was a massive overpay.

Hmm…interesting. Honestly, once every 7 years isn’t the worst average I’ve seen here. Kudos to you

Oooooh zinger. Would have hit better if I didn’t say “I’ve seen here” but I gotta say it was a decent effort. A bit dated or shall I say dead in the water but solid effort nonetheless. Very Hal-esque level joke if you will. The bad news is we have to wait another 7 years now for another decent post.

Good haha should be an easy win then. Btw We know he’s injured-because your back posting here. You disappeared for the last month when they won 12 straight and got within a game behind us in the standings and were eating **** on “he’s been figured out and in decline”. Solid take lol.

Absolutely.you guys do a great job but also probably shouldn’t fan flames for the overall “goodness of the forum”. Saying keep the “hate” is doing just that. I don’t mind personally, I find it fun but if the goal is to keep your job easier- probably not the best wording.

I admit that was tasteless to make light of an injury….. but I was responding to you so having no taste or class is most appropriate.

As far as the Nets playing well this season - I said from day 1 the Nets best play was to keep the team they had together because it was a legit contender when healthy (I expected more from Simmons to be honest). I still stand by my contention that KD at age 34 has slipped and is not good enough relative to the rest of the league to will a team to the finals single handedly like he almost did 2 years ago. Brown is exceeding what I expected when we hashed out this trade this summer and KD is playing exactly as I said he would ….he is breaking down a little just as I said…..and he will come up short in playoffs just as aging superstars on the barely perceptible decline always do.

This thread is the Groundhog's Day of the Remedial Chaos Theory episode of Community.

I guess I can do a half season update review. Not really sure what I can add, but it does feel like he's been in foul trouble more often this season. Part of my theory of this and the bad turnovers is maybe the rest of the league has updated their schemes on how to defend him. Doesn't make sense for ball handling to drop this badly, but maybe he spent the off-season refining shotbmaking instead of continuing to work on ball handling. Not really hopeful that this new playstyle will reach a ceiling higher like I was a quarter of the season. Still obligated to give it a full season.

As Al Horford pointed out last night, when Brown attacks the rim he ‘hits you’ and ‘you feel it’. Yes, it leads to unforced turnovers but at least his teammates appreciate the positive impact that the force of his play has for the team. This team is a 60 win quality team and Brown is a huge reason why no matter the flaws in his game.

He’s breaking down to the point where’s playing at an mvp level and one of his best seasons ever…….

If he comes up short in the playoffs - like an ecf or a hard fought 2nd round out that’s a testament to how good he is not because he failed.

Like last year we will see what happens when he misses games. Last year they fell apart entirely. Btw who wills their team entirely to the finals? Jordan didn’t even

No doubt. However, working the defense goes a long way. Spearheading into the defense works, but the next level is to mix in times where you're twisting their arm. Torture them with your threat of scoring, but force them to preemptively make a move on you.

I do disagree with the notion thrown around here to cut down on his usage. His shots per 100 possession hasn't increased significantly, it's more that he's playing more minutes. He's dribbling more though. This team doesn't have the personel to cut back on his usage unless you're upping Brogdons minutes. I prefered Jaylen's style of play last season though.

Kevin Durant age 32 does…..but luckily for the Bucks his toe touched the line.
