Morant out for the season. Memphis has to be thinking about next year. Celtics should be looking that way.

Edit: they don't have much

Your 2024 Boston Celtics playoff rotation:

C KP
F Tatum
F JB
G white
G Jrue

6th man Al
7th man Saddiq Bey
8th man Hauser/Pritchard (depending on matchups and who has the hot hand)
9th man Hauser/Pritchard

Emergency depth big if needed for spot mins: Kornet (with slight chance Queta passes him by playoff time)

Championship.

We send ATL draft compensation, perhaps some end of the bench guy(s) and use the Grant TPE to get Bey.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Why is PP so disrespected by certain posters when he's

1) The Most Improved Celtics of the year?

2) Performing well on big occasions in all situations, road and away?

Let's not bury PP for the Mercurial Bey and Hauser...

Dario Saric is the answer. 6'10 physical tweener type that can play as a bigger wing and/or smaller big. Stretches the floor decently and is experienced.

2m x 1. Easy to fit in to the cap. Stevens can send any bottom of the roster salary plus two 2nd round picks and call it a day.

As long as the Lottery Warriors keep losing, they will end up becoming sellers at the trade deadline.

The Warriors are within half a game of the play-in and don't have their pick this year. They have no reason to dump useful players for nothing.

Lottery Warriors still have 1 month to keep losing.

Don't be surprised when the Warriors make multiple moves before the deadline. They aren't punting on the season, but they are going to tweak things on the fly and try to catch lightning in a bottle.
This Saric move isn't what I just described. But if they can add two 2nd round picks and a useful end-of-rotation guy in Stevens for Saric who is not in the Warriors long-term plans, they would do it.

Dray, Wiggins, JK will all be discussed. MDJr is going to try like hell to add juice around Curry. They have already proven that if they can get to the playoffs and are playing their best basketball come playoff time, that they can make noise. Personally, I think they're done. But internally, that's definitely what they're thinking.

It's hard to believe th Warriors will do the Celts any favors, but nice call by Curm. Saric would be great and a valuable contributor.

But for Curry's sake, you would think they want to be in the Playoffs and Green is returning, so we'll call this a no deal from the start...

I doubt the warriors become sellers at the deadline - this is probably their last chance at another ring with the Curry/Draymond/Klay core.

Also, Saric can't play the wing. He's a PF/C combo, a stretch big. Could be a nice fit here but I don't see it happening. We had our chance to get him last summer when he was a FA.

I doubt the warriors become sellers at the deadline - this is probably their last chance at another ring with the Curry/Draymond/Klay core. They were pretty far down in the standings early in the season in 21-22, when they went on to win the title.

Also, Saric can't play the wing. He's a PF/C combo, a stretch big. Could be a nice fit here but I don't see it happening. We had our chance to get his last summer when he was a FA.

Warriors were #1 in the west early in the season in 2021-22.

They had the same 24-6 record that the Celtics had this season after 30 games.

GSW has ZERO chance of winning the championship this season.

Let's see what happens from today up to the trade deadline.

But IMO, best case scenario is they will continue to be fighting for a spot in the play-in tournament.

The Warriors are likely to trade one of their young wings for a quality vet, so they are likely competing with the Celts for Playoff reinforcements.

The Warriors make like $10 million per playoff home game. They don't care if they win a ring or not. They just want four or five home games. They are not going to punt anything.

Don't know how the Celtics manage that one. Stewart because of his poison pill contract the Celtics would have to send out $13 million and I don't see them moving Horford.

When I say Al is untouchable, I mean there’s only one guy on the roster who is less touchable.

I was pumping up Saric as a good buy low guy for 2 years, but it's gotten less and less likely. GS as mentioned isn't going to sell, and Boston has less need at the C than prior. He may have played himself into BAE type money anyway. Maybe in a year or three when Al's role is diminished or over, but hell maybe Al outlasts him lol.

Kinds feels like Taurean Prince is the answer once LAL makes their inevitable move.
