Nope. The ball wasn’t released yet. He hit his arm before the ball was released. Clear foul.

The ball not being released is WHY it's not a foul. I don't know what the NBA is talking about.

If you get your hand on the ball then the contact after can not be a foul. Release or not.

Jump ball before it's a foul.

You'd be **** livid if you lost the finals on a play like that and you know it.

You have it the other way around.

Officials clearly explained in the game why it was a foul and ESPN postgame also explained why it was a foul.

Dallas is who I want in the finals against the Cs.

That would be an automatic win for Boston because they can't win with Luka, right?

Dallas weak defense will be their doom against Boston.

Yup. I’m rooting for the mavs to get in the finals. Don’t want no Jokic, or antman with all those lengthy defenders. Mavs would be the best matchup

We're all aware of how the NBA called it.

How do they call it through out the season year in and out is what I care about.

Look that up for us.

Dumb challenge.

I thought they should have won that challenge.

Clear foul, both live and on replay. Dunno what they were thinking. What a waste of timeout.

He got so much ball. Caught arm way after. To me that’s not at all a clear foul..but cool.

You got it backwards. If the ball was released prior to hitting the arm, then it wouldn’t be a foul, since its all ball before release. Since the ball wasn’t released, he hit the arm before the shot. Even the announcers agreed it was a foul. Clear as day. Easy call to make actually.

It's not called this way and the fact that that play is a foul ny NBA rulebook is what's wrong with the league.

Accepting this as a foul is accepting a mediocre product.

You won't be happy when it cost you your title.

Lol. That’s a foul. Just let it go man.
Plus who cares if OKC got bounced. Not our problem.

The fact that people accept it as a foul is NBA conditioning.

They foul doesn't belong in the NBA.

Other instances where I saw a similar situation like that, when the hand hit ball first, the ball always came loose.

In this situation, the ball never got loose.

You are correct if SGA's hand made the ball come loose.

But this was not the case in this situation.

Pull the rulebook and show me where this specific situation is described. Otherwise I don't give a **** what nonsense the NBA said on tv.

That's why I keep telling everybody, if we want real basketball, watch the Olympics.

We all know the NBA is sports entertainment.

Back in 1998, MJ clearly pushed Bryon Russell and it wasn't called an offensive foul.

After that incident, I started to accept the NBA for what it is.

Their young ascending superstar has made it to 5 less conference Finals than Tatum lol. Well at least he's not Embiid who's already 30.

After he hit the ball.

All in the same play.

We get it. He hit his arm.

We get it. He hasnt shot yet.

We get it he didn't land and then shoot.

Admit you'd be ripping your house apart right now if that sent the Celtics home.

It's ok

It is what it is, guys.

OKC is out of the playoffs and all SGA can do now is watch Jayson Tatum play.

And CoY Daignault is 0-2 with Isaiah Joe as a starter.

Nobody is questioning the call but you guys. Lol.
Even right now the okc coach post game presser, not one mentioned about the call. Its clear. He hit the arm before the shot. Its not all ball.

Return to Boston Celtics
