Our young bucks are really putting it together.

Also, looking at that list, do you guys see Walsh as a guard?

Not offensively.

Man, I'm sp excited to see how much production and value we're getting from Brad's draftees: Jordan Walsh, Baylor Scheierman, Hugo Gonzalez.

It's always been my position that Brad, based on his coaching experience, depreciated the importance of later picks in the draft. Obviously, when he took over he traded firsts in the '21, 22, 23, & 24 drafts for vets like Horford, White et al or for trading down and adding 2nds...

But now we are seeing how truly important and valuable it can be when a team gets big contributions from non-lottery picks while making low salary during their four year rookie contract... this is a great development for our teams viability with two Jays on supermax deals and I'm just extremely pleased to see what Walsh, Scheierman and Gonzalez are doing this yr.

For years I was told by some a Brown lead team would be a lottery team.

I was also told that Mazzulla solely relied on a super team otherwise he’d be coaching a lottery team.

Funny that majority of the board members that thought this way have completely vanished.
It’s almost like their narcissism got in they way & being right was more important to them than watching their favourite team succeed.

In his first 16 games of the season White shot 34.8% from the field and 29.7% from three. 46.7 TS%.

In his last 7 games of the season White has shot 49.1% from the field and 41.7% from three. 65.2 TS%.

It appears as if Derick White's offense is back. The defense never left.

Since Brown called the team (him) out after the Nets game. Good to see the best player on the team is finally playing like the 2nd best player  .

After OKC wins vs. the Jazz tonight, the Celtics will only be behind by 8 games to the 22-1 Thunder. They better watch their back! Cs are coming!

Now we're 3rd!
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I assumed they’d be thoroughly mediocre and have been an elite casual this year.

Also congrats to the bullish Celtics posters they are being rewarded handsomely!!

Also congrats to everyone that wanted to discuss Minott’s potential as a, uh, let’s call it a lone big.

NBA.com power rankings

.
#6
BOSTON CELTICS
Last Week:13↑
Record: 15-9

OffRtg: 122.0 (2) DefRtg: 114.8 (17) NetRtg: +7.2 (5) Pace: 96.2 (30)

The Celtics are rolling, having won 10 of their last 12 games to climb to third place in the Eastern Conference. At one point on Sunday, they had gone a remarkable 162 minutes and eight seconds of game time without trailing their opponent.

Three takeaways:

- The Celtics lead the league with nine wins against the 17 teams that currently have winning records. They’re 9-7 within the group, including 6-1, with wins over the Magic, Pistons, Cavs, Knicks, Lakers and Raptors, over the last 15 days.

- Their offense remains on fire. They lead the league in efficiency (128.6 points scored per 100 possessions) by a healthy margin over their 10-2 stretch, and their 146 points on 97 possessions (150.5 per 100) in Washington on Thursday is tied for the 10th most efficient performance for any team in the 30 years of play-by-play data. That performance also came without Jaylen Brown, who continues to have the most efficient scoring season of his career (true shooting percentage of 58.9%) while ranking third in usage rate (35.2%).

- The defense ranks just 19th over this 10-2 stretch, but the Celtics’ current starting lineup has allowed just 102.1 points per 100 possessions, the second-best mark among 21 lineups that have played at least 100 minutes. Opponents have shot just 41.8% on 2-point shots against it.

Coming up: The Celtics still have four games left on a stretch where they’re playing 10 of 12 against teams with winning records, though their only game this week (in Milwaukee on Thursday) is one of the two exceptions.

Week 8: @ MIL

Once the C's finish out this @MIL, vsDET, vsMIA, @TOR stretch they hit a much easier stretch of their schedule. The 7 games after that are IND, @IND, @POR, @UTA, @SAC, @LAC, CHI. Of course, a west coast road trip is always tough regardless of opponent, but still no team better than a 10th seed in this stretch.

This NBA Cup break features only 2 games in 11 days for the Celtics, but starting December 26th they will play 25 games in 48 days leading up to the all star break.

I think this is meant to mainly be a Pritchard clip. But I also like Queta's admittedly smaller and simpler part in it.

It's kind of crazy but it's all the way through to basically February before we hit another tough patch of schedule. There's a couple bumps in the road, but it's pretty smooth sailing until the start of Feb.

I think going on a crazy heater between now and then racking up wins would put an immense amount of confidence in this team. And then we're going to get really tested Feb/March with Tatum ramping back up in the wings. If they can hold the line and carry that confidence through those games, we'd be a very scary playoff team with Tatum in tow.

Celts have the 2nd best front office in the league, as voted on by NBA front offices.

.
“Brad Steven’s integrity and competence carry a heavy load for them,” another voter said of Boston’s front office.

That is nice. Brad is that dude! Love what he’s done.

Cavs being up that high is surprising, but not, turned that around quickly after the second cLeaveland. A guy screwed you twice, decimated teams that were built around and for him, had to give up Kyrie because he wanted to be the man away from LBJ and you build back quickly to high playoff seeding. Someone is doing something right! Call Cavs a regular season team all you want, but they could still be tanking after LBJx2.

I agree with Floody. The passionate trashing of Brown that flew in the face of the obvious talent drove me crazy.

That said, I never expected this team to be so good. Fair or not, the team decided to blow up the roster rather than trust Brown to lead a team so I assumed he would have too little help to succeed. I underestimated this group.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Nice.

They even seem to have shed Danny, their Lucky Leprechaun, at just the right time as well.
