So Donald's done pouting?? Yeah, I'm not buying that they're not that interested in Pierce either. He's a lot better than what they have @ sf currently..

The talks will be officially over when the Clippers sign a new coach. Until then, the talks may or may not continue.

Plus, if there's a chance Doc moves to LA, the Celtics might want to attack the free-agent coach market sooner rather than later.

Depends on the market though doesn't it? They've got Hollins, Shaw and Scott available. You have to figure at least Scott and Shaw would have LA as their #1 choice, so they might give LAC a little more time. I'm trying to think of other vacancies right now...Memphis, Denver...anyone else?

I don't think the Celtics are concerned about getting a coach if the VDN rumors have any merit.

I read somewhere that Lawrence Frank was the heavy favorite to get the nod to succeed Doc, which is why he's been holding off on Jason Kidd's overtures to join him as an assistant in Brooklyn.

Also, according to WT, Shaw and Hollins are interviewing for the Nuggets job. If one of them is hired by Denver, that increases Ainge's leverage, as it would leave the Clippers with either Shaw/Hollins, and Byron Scott. I can't imagine Chris Paul being enthralled with having Scott coach him again, since that didn't work out too well in New Orleans. I also don't see that midget doing cartwheels if Hollins was hired. Danny should wait the Clippers out.

So what happened to Doc coming out and "commenting" on everything?

I thought I read something that said Chris Paul actually would welcome Byron Scott, as hard as that may be to believe. Hollins does seem like less of a draw, and I'm not sure what, if any, relationship Paul has with Shaw.

If Rondo and Frank have a good relationship, I wouldn't mind that. Seems like Frank had no one in his corner in Detroit. Kidd loved him in Jersey and he did all right.

Kidd is also trying to get him as an assistant on his little adventure in brooklyn. The thing that gets me about Frank is he seems timid just by his body language at times. Cant have a timid head coach.

Yeah, I think you're right about CP3 getting along with Scott. My bad. Nonetheless, hopefully Ainge can wait them out. One less candidate means they get more desperate for Doc.

I thought Lawrence Frank was taking a break from basketball to nurse his ill wife.

And if there is a god out there, please make the VDN rumour go away.
