He's been going hard lately. I'm only reading so many posts, but it looks like he's recently moved from, "JT shot really bad in the finals," to, "JT was horrible on offense," in one of those threads lol. I'm down to pick apart JT's shooting struggles, but the rest of his offense is still running on all cylinders during those slumps. He's still a tremendous offensive player, even in the middle of a shooting slump, who can run the sets and move 4 or 5 defenders on the court at any given time with his gravity.

JT's shot wasn't there, no. He didn't crater our offense though. We still needed him out there as much as any guy on the team.

I will eat my foot if he actually watched the Finals. He is the loudest and most repetitive of the handful of Tatum detractors on the GB who just don't make any sense to me as someone who watches the games.

It finally hit me that most of these posters watched roughly 3 quarters of last year's Finals and then turned it off since it wasn't competitive and the team they were rooting for sucked. And I've spent the last 9 months scratching my head at their assumptions and false assertions of what happened. In his case it is extremely tiresome.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I should probably stop now, so I will. And I'll give myself a warning for talking **** on a poster lol.

Residual from the old days when we’d fight with raptor fans on the daily.

Random cutoff alert... When JT's usage rate in a game is less than 29%, Celtics are 8-10. They're 40-8 otherwise.

Tatum usage rate, pre-run: 29.4%
Tatum usage rate, during 23-4 run: 32.1%

He's ramping up.

Gotta love Celts twitter stroking Tatums ego. Probably makes him feel better about losing ECF & Finals MVP last year.

I was reading through the Cooper Flagg thread on the GB and half the comments are about how he's better than Tatum lol. Why is my guy always catching strays?

Fans not familiar with JT don't factor in how JT had to transform from being guy with a body type like Jabari Smith Jr. to now being like Jalen Smith.

This is not the same JT that we saw in his first 2 seasons in the NBA.

Guys like Flagg and Banchero are basically finished products when it comes to physical build entering the NBA.

This is the first year of JT finally finishing his transformation to becoming a more physical player.

JT the finished product will be now and into his 30s.

Of the 10 Celtics players who have taken at least 20 3PAs post-ASB, Tatum has had the worst 3FG% at 30.2%. I know he already does everything else, but he needs to be better than that in the postseason since he takes a ton of threes still.

Maybe JT needs a Department Of Celtic Efficiency to help him out.

So if he's not clutch, that makes all the other players in the history of the league trash?

Well, he's second not first, and that's not good enough! As Ricky Bobby (and my Dad) always say:

Active streak is at 112 games IINM.

His 27/8/5 season has only been done by 2 other Celtics players in franchise history -- Havlicek (2x) and Bird (3x).

ESPN should pay me for this.

Are several other of the streaks also Wilt's?

A stat at around 1:30 of video above would make you rethink about the type of player JT is. He's less Paul George or Kevin Durant and is really more like Lebron or Giannis now in terms of offensive impact and style of play.
