In the alternate timeline, Lonnie Walker was signed, stunk in his small role, and sulked while we don't get this version of Payton Pritchard. Since no one else has visited this alternate timeline but me, I'm just grateful we didn't sign Lonnie Walker.

Also in my alternate timelines, we would've won banners 19 and 20 by now if we signed/traded for Christian Wood, Thomas Bryant, and Hassan Whiteside in the past.

Lmao Whiteside can pound sand but I’ll captain the Christian Wood ship to the end. I also remember being ticked back in 2022 when Bryant chose the Lakers over us, at least I thought it was the lakers, who then traded him to Denver. Can we substitute Harry Giles for Whiteside?

I only remember you as an avid supporter of Wood. I'm not even sure what team he's playing for now. Seems like injuries did him in. Didn't know you were a Bryant fan too. Just threw random names on there lol. Didn't we invite Giles for a workout once or something?

Injuries, immaturity, lack of defense, I don’t even think he’s in the league at the moment. Whole board was high on Bryant that offseason. He had posted decent numbers in Washington iirc coming back from injury and we needed a depth big. I don’t think we ever even offered Giles a camp deal which is shocking given his relationship with Tatum. He could have been our Thanasis. Still could be one day I suppose

Wikipedia tells me Christian Wood returned to LAL for $3M this season, and had knee surgery in September, currently inactive.

Re: Giles I was always a believer and fan, and just now had the honest thought "isn't he an assistant coach for us now?" lol

One of my biggest guys to work into this convo is Alec Burks. Can't tell me we wouldn't have hung 24 or 25 banners by now if they'd gotten him at the deadline last season.

^^^ Those guys got nothing on how much better trading for Delon Wright last deadline would have been than being stuck with Pritchard.

We missed out on two NBA titles (not talking about The Cup either) in a single season. Only real misstep in Stevens tenure.

I'm a Zalgiris fan (Lonnie's current team). I was super excited about my team signing him. While his first couple Euroleague games were a complete disaster, he then had a stretch of amazing games. And he is shooting like 38-40% from three. Lately however, he had some really bad games again and it's becoming apparent that his decision making is certainly a weakness. Which is a problem, because Euroleague is all about having good basketball IQ and game sense.

I'm a much bigger fan of Lonnie the person right now than Lonnie the player. He seems like a great dude and locker room presence.

Maybe he and KP balance each other out? Multiply a negative by a negative.

Get Javonte Green instead
Maybe the pels will bite a Springer + 2nd/Tillman + 2nd/Kornet + 2nd (I don't know if the apron rules allow it but I can dream). I'll do any of these right now

Springer for Javonte works.

Cs will most likely add a pick for Pels to bite.

While I like Javonte. Isn't Walker more flexible?
