You were a ballboy at one point. And what's said is that you guys are chasing mediocrity. We are building and can do whatever we want because we can swap picks with SAC.

I bet you could dig up some posts saying the Warriors are a treadmill team and need to blow it up two years ago.

I thought it was quite funny when he said 'who is going to guard Embiid?'.

Like bruhh..that's basically like us saying who's going to guard Bryan Doo..they both have the same chances of playing at this point lol

Seriously though Sixers will be good if everything works out..but they won't be good until at least 3 or 4 years from now. That's such a young team they have.

I don't care the fact that you're a ballboy you are right about that, everyone has been there but the fact of the matter is with all of Phillys "super tanking" they still haven't produced a cornerstone player yet.

Noel - Amazing Defense but pretty sucky on offense
Embiid - Hasn't played since he was drafted
Saric - Coming over now for the first time so no idea how his game will translate to the NBA
Okafor - Fundamental offensive monster, will need more time
Simmons - Looks the goods in Summer League but still hasn't played a game yet.

You seriously need to actually "nail" one of your picks, one of these guys NEEDS to be your franchise otherwise it will be more years in the dungeonous depths of the NBA. I really hope Embiid plays this year, and I'm excited to see what Simmons & Saric do but really you haven't drafted anyone significant yet... 2013 draft was pretty bad but you missed out on a potential franchise player in Giannis, 2014 you couldn't get Andrew Wiggins and in 2015 you couldn't get KAT...
Instead you got the B-C graders.

To change the subject of trolling a might...I went over onto the Philly board to read what they make of the latest Noel rumors that are pretty much based on Noel's "home town" tweet...

Seemed like many of them there think Cleveland is interested in getting Noel and parting with one Kevin Love. (He is supposedly bound for Boston.)

I was wondering what we all think of them marbles?

Could it be that trader Danny has something up his sleeve in that way?

It's all conjecture for sure but it was interesting that Lebron remained unsigned, though he now claims he will sign for 100 mill over three years ..while perhaps waiting for the team to clear salary so they can drive the brinks truck up to his house and bury him in all that money...

I took a quick look at who might be on the move in a possible three way deal to bring Love here and a Noel "rental" to Cleveland. Figuring that Bradley might be the Cav's target?.....While the 76ers might want Rozier to run their point?

The expiring contracts of Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebco might also be in play to Cleveland?.... While Cleveland might seek to move the contract of Mike Dunleavy to Boston in the Love boat., BTW Dunleavy can't be traded again until September 10th....

So what are the chances that this plays out?....And if it does, anyone suppose that next year the deal is to max Norlens Noel once he becomes a free agent?

Time to stop arguing with the ballboys and put your thinking caps on! :)

The BPA regardless crowd constantly misses this point.

Drafting Smart contributed heavily to selling low on Rondo.

How did they sell low on Rondo? They fleeced Dallas in that deal

That's Ainge jocking nonsense. The deal turned out well in retrospect. But it was a Rondo rental for a low draft pick and a relatively obscure bench guy in Crowder who was also a potential rental. That's hardly fleecing. That's a cheap flyer Dallas took on Rondo that didn't work out.

Gasol.to LA was still a conspiracy even though Marc became good. Al for KG was fair even if Minny blew it. #1 for Parish and #3 was fair even though McHale became better than Carroll.

I don't really comprehend how people can't tell the difference between unfair trades/fleecing and fair deals that turned out one sided. We inarguably sold low on Rondo, getting a bench guy and a low pick for our lone all-star captain. It just turned out well thanks to Jae's unexpected development.

Rondo was never going to stay either way from the sounds of it.

This post is so stupid I don't even know how to respond to it. The Celtics got the better player and a first round pick. You've got to be the most bitter poster on this board, eat a snickers man

Wait, so how else are you supposed to judge a trade if not by heinsight? Lol that "bench" guy that ainge wanted turned out to be a cornerstone to this team. And rondo wasn't allowed to play in the playoffs and they hated him so much they didn't offer him the teams playoff bonus and was gone 6 months after they got him. Clearly they killed that trade

Ainge when he finally did trade Rondo did a very good job in salvaging some value for him but Rondo's value declined after he didn't perform well in 2 partial seasons after coming back from serious injury.

If Ainge had done that same Rondo trade in the summer of 2013, I would certainly agree that he got way too little in "perceived value" but by the time Rondo was traded, I certainly wasn't expecting more than what Dallas gave up. Ainge did a good job in salvaging that deal but both Jeff Green and Rondo should have been traded much sooner.

Now I do believe if Ainge/Stevens were truly very strong believers in Crowder and didn't need a "try before you buy" period, the Celtics may have even gotten him for a little less money on a 4 year deal. This just assumes that Crowder continued to not play that many minutes on the Dallas bench. He had been averaging only 10.6 MPG before the Celtics acquired him so I don't think league interest would have been that high at all.

Which is why we wait and the 76'ers hope a team becomes infatuated and starts bidding against itself. You get a better sense of value once multiple teams start offering bids. And logjams serve to lower value as players get less playing time and become more disgruntled. Especially if they are on a team that not only is dangling them in trades but is also not winning all that many games.

You had a top 3 pick and got Jaylen Brown. You won't win a championship this year. We also will have a top 5 pick, more cap flexibility, and a much improved team. That's what's important, that we prove our young talent. To shut people up and let them see our roster is loaded with great young talent, and that we can sign two max players along with a top 3 pick. We play you guys pre season, see you then.

PS- you aren't getting 50 wins, the competition has gotten better; the Knicks, Pacers, Bulls, Magic, Pistons, Bucks, and Sixers improved. I think you guys get 42ish.
