If anything, this is fantastic, because now Demps and his staff are aware they could have as many as 2-3 picks to use in this draft and will send their scouts out accordingly.
If Davis doesn’t want to go to Boston then Danny isn’t going to offer a lot.
This reminds me a heck of a lot of everything falling in to place for Durant to Golden State.
LeBron to LA, Davis signs with his agent, noise starts about him leaving to come to LA, he meets with LeBron for dinner and then bam a trade request right before the deadline.
If they trade all the kids, they can fit in one 30% max player too.
The Lakers drunkenly stumble around for a decade and somehow position themselves to dominate the next 5 years cuz they play near Hollywood and in perfect weather. **** lame.

Thinking of all the times Lebron has screwed us over since 2011.

If NOP goes full rebuild mode Demps will get fired. Demps' job depends on convincing the owner that they can be competitive after the trade. Future picks mean nothing to him because he won't be there to use them.
Conflict of interest 101 but unfortunately that's how bad team do business. Give the guy who created the mess keys to fix the mess. For an example, see Washington Wizards.

Let's do a sig bet. I say AD finishes the season as a Pelican. Winner picks the loser's sig. Loser wears it until the start of next season. How about it?
Fine by me. Won’t even be mad if I lose because it would mean the Celtics are probably a big chance of getting him.

Is Anthony Davis a brain dead puppet that Lebron controls? This came from Davis, so if this plan was somehow concocted by Lebron and co, it means that Davis is in on it too. If he actually demanded a trade at this time, it means he wants to play in LA.

I don’t think a deal gets done before the summer, but the next week and a half is going to be interesting

Re: Anthony Davis Requests Trade from NO
This request shows me AD wants to play with Lebron more than anything. I guess Rich Paul did an awesome job brainwashing him to join forces with Lebron in LA and that recent dinner just sealed the deal.
If the Pels don't trade him until the deadline, it doesn't really matter because everyone will know AD will be a rental, so they will budge and won't offer much this offseason. Danny won't do it for once...
There are no words to describe my hatred for Lebron and the Lakers at the moment, this plain sucks.

Re: Anthony Davis Requests Trade from NO
I swear if NOLA sends AD to the LAKERS for the fools gold prospects, I will SCREAM! A. why would they want to send AD within their conference? B. Why give LeBron what he wants unless the league office is forcing it? C. If the Lakers can somehow pull this off before Boston gets their chance this summer, then we can kiss Kyrie good-bye, because he will be signing with the Lakers in July to join LeBron and AD.
BUT, panic aside, this is actually a good thing. When you step back and think about it, NOLA is in no rush to find a deal for AD. They clearly know Boston is interested and has great assets. If anything, this gives Danny a little leverage now that AD has requested to be moved.
Jayson Tatum is going to be a great Pelican/Sonic!

Yeah but we’ll be giving New Orelans the better players though ?

Re: Anthony Davis Requests Trade from NO
A few points to relax the Lakers panic...
1) New Orleans' preference has to be to trade AD to the East.
2) Regardless of his desire to leave, they still have him under contract for next year and can wait to trade him in the offseason without worrying that his value will decline.
3) NO's front office doesn't ever seem to have their **** together, so getting a deal done in 10 days feels like a stretch.
4) Danny (and other GMs) can still communicate to Demps what they are willing to trade, and let them know that we will do the deal in the offseason. So it's not like we can't have a conversation and still actively be bidding.

Re: Anthony Davis Requests Trade from NO
"Boston could agree to a Davis trade prior to July 1 that isn't finalized until after that date."
I did not know this. HOPE IS ALIVE!!
Edit: That's gonna be bad for the locker room though. Can they keep the deal secret from everyone including the players? lol

Yep. As soon as LeBron signed I had a feeling deep down they were no longer just a horribly run team to laugh at. When the noise started in mid to late December about Davis to LA it was incredibly **** obvious to me that Davis wants to be a Laker.
I’m not convinced on the dominate part though. There has to be some stage LeBron declines significantly right?

I feel for small market teams. Unless you nail a few draft picks big time you have no chance of ever contending properly. And your marquee player will run away at the first sign of trouble so they can make a stacked team.
Milwaukee is currently sitting in first place at the moment fyi
Just wait until they can’t make the finals.
There’s already been media noise about Giannis bailing. Will only get louder.
