Sixers got bigger but lost their outside shooting, and the bucks got weaker as well. It all depends on how we can defend inside. Can we get a decent 7 footer that can rim protect. Maybe tyson chandler. I don’t think RW, Pourier and Fall would get it done. We also need veteran presence in the locker room.

RWill will not get it done IMO. Not by his showing tonight in the SL. He's so awkward.

We probably need two interior defenders to even have a chance. We also need shooters.

Too many holes IMO. It's really frustrating because a couple more moves and we could be legit contenders. And who knows what things will look like the season after next. They have to play for THIS season. This season is wide open, but not with what we got now.

It's gonna be obvious when we start playing games. Until then, I know we will debate that Tatum can hold down the PF, but reality will set in very quickly once the season starts and we get out rebounded by EVERYBODY. It's gonna be like the Red Sox telling us we don't really need a closer and then 20 blown saves later, everybody's like oh yeah I guess we do need a closer....

Now they have to scramble to get someone or convert a starter who's not even healthy.....

I agree. I wanted us to have that rim protector last season before the deadline. It would make a lot of difference knowing we have someone in the middle to defend. Instead of double or triple teaming Giannis that would often lead to wide open 3’s for middleton. We have enough pg’s as it is, we need reliable bigs, and not undersized bigs like theis. Tatum at pf, would be ok on certain matchups, but i believe teams would exploit that matchup to their advantage.

Players can be added during the season, but it is WAY harder. And I don't think people appreciate that. It's always like "let's just wait till the deadline" and then nothing happens cuz the price tag is too high.

Now is the time to do it. Right now we have too many holes to fill at the deadline.

I was really hoping on Morris because that would have crossed a couple things off the list. Seems like BKN screwed us over on that one by facilitating the Bertans, Morris swap with WASH.

I agree, we should try to address our weakness now rather than later. We have a problem with rim protection and rebounding. I don’t think we have that right now. I don’t think our young bigs are ready to step in and deliver this season.

I wonder who gets No 11. Maybe a big star player.

If you want balance and winning, you start Williams & Williams.

Can't have five volume shooters on the floor to start a game.

Also would be happy with the always-needed but hard-to-do, roster space trade.

Yabu and Semi out, 1 or none players in.

None of the above will happen, but it would be swell if it did.

Also, the big number for C Edwards was 0, for assists. Need to understand he will always be what he has always been, the little shooter. That is great to have, but need to work that into the right lineup, assuming he is on the roster.

Can't let Tacko get away, if Aingey-Boy was signing Ben Bentil or someone like that to guaranteed money, hopefully there is a plan to make sure Fall stays through winter and spring.

Morris brother is gone, already the ball is moving much better for the Celtics.

Spurs probably miss the playoffs.

Can't see how DeMar and DeMarre can be allowed continuously in the NBA.

Stanley Johnson has arrived in the division!

If you didn't think the Celtics were already in trouble, watch out now.

Probably Kanter actually.

He's worn 0, 00, 34, and 11 throughout his NBA career, and only 11 is available to him in Boston.

RWill shouldn't even start for our SL team.

Tacko was in much better position on his rotations and block outs.

The late second is part of the NBA baker’s dozen.. mostly I think we did Terry a favor to get him more money - he was ready to sign with Phoenix..

Best we can do now is dump Yabu’s money before we officially sign Kanter or Theis.. and have 3 million in room..

I did. It was our first official transaction. We went the boring ass route. Probably not anticipating a big midseason trade.

I really don’t understand giving both Kanter and Theis $5M deals. It would have made much more sense to get just one of them and give the other $5M deal to a defensive guy like Ed Davis/McGee etc. I agree with all of you above that we need rik protection and Timelord ain’t it for now

Kanter is worth his money but I don't know why they stuck with Theis over some other names out there. I guess they wanted to keep someone who is familiar with the system/team. Theis seems like deadline salary matching trade bait to me.

Kyrie had to leave. Truth be told he didn't embrace the celtics culture nor did he want to be here. No one is perfect.Hopefully, he is happy in New jersey.
