Says Divincenzo to Knicks is "a certainty", that's his heat check. GOAT leaks if he's right

By the way, Harden leaving Philly for anything is a huge plus for the Sixers.

James Harden has been playing the NBA for fools and he just laughs all the way to the bank. I mean good for him

Feels like they already have the other half of that trade lined up just need to know where the first half is going to be.

I still don’t trust Joe. I do trust Brad. He seems to trust Joe. Brad is a genius and I will protect his vision. Joe is part of that vision.

Zero idea, but this guy has pretty much nailed everything from today all the way back to May. He also said he used to work for a big NBA agency.

Looks like his account is now deactivated so that's a bummer.

Adding years onto the Sabonis deal seems like the thing to do there. I mean, I don’t think that team is going anywhere beyond regular 1st/2nd round outs but still.

I think if some team gives G Williams the non tax payer MLE the Celtics are going to match. if they give G Williams more then things get dicey. Just my opinion.

It's not a bad option. Someone might give Grant $17 mil a year, while we could scoop up Lyles for a fraction of that cost..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

If we don't resign Grant, these are our backup options (ranked in no particular order) ...

-Taurean Prince (another team might claim him off waivers, though. We can't claim him off waivers - have to hope that he clears waivers so we could sign him)
-Torrey Craig
-Trey Lyles
-Keita Bates-Diop
-Obi Toppin
-Jae'Sean Tate
-Kyle Anderson

The first 4 guys are FA. The last 3 guys would have to be a trade..

This guy can ball. Would not hate it at all if he's our 8th/9th man.

A couple of interesting tidbits, though..
-Although we see lots of clips of him making strong drives to the basket in this vid, his 3Pr is CRAZY high, which is odd. I don't mind it, though - his 3 pt % is consistently good, so don't mind if he takes lots of 3's. Obviously Mazzulla won't mind either lol. And at least there is video evidence that he *can* take it strong to the rim, too. Just thought that stat was interesting...
-Also, his FTr was really low. So low FTr and really high 3Pr, indicates he rarely gets shots near the basket and just launches 3's all the time. But this video tells a different story. I guess it's just a highlights vid though, so gotta take with a grain of salt..
-Not a good BPM this past season of 3.3. Interestingly, his defensive BPM was actually better than his offensive BPM...

I like trey lyles. Good size at 6’9, has a sweet stroke from deep, can put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. He could be a horford replacement on offense. He rebounds well if given minutes.

Yeah I like him too. I think he can be better defensively than what he's shown too. Was on a bad DET team and then a run and gun Kings team that had explosive offense but not a very good defense.

I think if he comes here and sees the way (most) of our guys lock in defensively, he'll follow suit.

Also, 27 yrs old so right in his prime. Old enough that's basically all developed and is pretty much peaking - but not so old that he's declining and more of an injury risk.

And he's got good size for a PF / small ball 5 (like you mentioned). 6'9", 234 lbs and a 7'1.5" wingspan. Moves pretty quick for a guy of that size, too.

And only made $2.5 mil last season so shouldn't be too expensive to sign.

Celtics Rumors: Brad Stevens 'Actively Exploring Trade Opportunities' Ahead of FA
June 29, 2023

As advised by multiple posters at REALGM, Brad is working 24/7 to trade the TOV machine & negative basketball IQ amoeba #7 to just about anyone who will take him to avoid one of the most obscene signings in the history of the Boston Celtics.

Stay tuned.
