Ok, so the 2025 pick swap is between Spurs and Celts. Dallas' 2025 is contingent on Dallas giving the Knicks their 2025 1st otherwise their 2nd goes to them.

EDIT: Should have read the article before posting this, but I now regret reading the article because my head now hurts.

Agree for the most part, but the one minor differences. Bey can play a little 3-4. Davis is more of a 2-3..

The Celtics fired their head coach, a much more important part of their organisation than some replacement level end of bench guy, over what most people would consider far less serious charges. By the way, they were absolutely right to take a stand on that issue. Some things are bigger than basketball. That anybody would think the Celtics have any interest in Davis after what happened to Udoka boggles my mind. Personnally, I find it yucky (I don't think I can use the adjective I really want to use) that people are advocating signing that type of guy to the Celtics.

He’s still a free agent? What’s the deal?

But yes I figure they’re probably trying to find themselves as the third team taking on a wing like Bey or they’re going to move salary somewhere before they sign anyone else.

Definitely seems they’re not as in love with Brogdon as they near the 2nd apron. We’ll see what happens

It was a verbal altercation amd charges were dismissed by NYK district attorney

Don't assume that everyone on here has seen all of the same articles, tweets and info that you have..

Also, multiple media sources reported recently that the Celtics had strong interest in signing Davis.

With that being said, I just came across this article for the first time a few mins ago. Yeah, I probably would pass on Davis after reading the full article and seeing how some of the charges were actually not dropped.

That's fair. I should have added a disclaimer that my distate is directed at people familiar with Davis' backstory not everyone that is suggesting we sign him. Obviously I can't be mad at someone advocating for a domestic violence offender if they aren't aware that's the kind of person they are advocating for. Obviously I have no way of knowing what people know about that issue so I give everyobdy the benefit of the doubt.

Until those media sources start leaking the front office transactions ahead of time I have no reason to believe they are more connected to the Celtics front office than I am. None of them gave us advance warning about any of the Celtics major (or even minor) moves. They are guessing as much as we are so I don't read too much into it.

Both would be worth it for right price. It reminds me of the Schroeder situation.

Yeah, you could be right. Some of these rumors are probably just BS. It could have just been Davis' agent leaking that info about us showing strong interest in him - who knows..

Yeah. And how'd that turn out?

Everyone was all pumped up when we first signed Schroder. We were all like "omg, what a steal! His highlights look great!" But then once the season started, with every game he played, we saw more and more posts where people were saying how we need to get this guy off the team, we need to give him less playing time, Pritchard should play over him, yada yada. Until finally we did trade him and the team got much better as a result.

Oubre and Wood are not winning players.

Any chance their fates are tied together? Not Jaylen to Portland, but a holdup because we’re looking to use Brogdon to facilitate the Dame trade, and get Herro?

Seems like the Grant trade is official with Celtics social media doing a post for Grant, and the Mavericks social media announcing the trade as well.
