his 2pt% (60+%) actually looks prettY GooD ! He can finish around the rim and his passing is very good, which is all we need from him offensively. I think that we will come to like this move aLoT. A guy who knows his role and is now surrounded by elite talent, ya I can see this working out VerY well !

FT% is a lil scary, hopefully he can keep that around 65% at least ...70 is aLOT better

When does Grant TPE expire ?? Hard to believe Brad lets it go, but XT and maybe one more buyout guy is all we really need

Finally some defense.

We've needed the ability to play switch everything on defense for awhile and maybe you can't find that with a couple second round picks but at least this is an attempt at it.

He's no Rob Williams or Grant Williams... but a discount Grant Williams still brings something to the table this team really needs. An actual ability to throw out a Horford/Tillman lineup and play switch everything on teams and slow down their scoring for once and let us just get on fast break.

And more importantly have more than just the oldest big in the league who can guard Centers of which KP has shown he's so weak he can barely hold his position against PF's on defense let alone the CLE, MIL, DEN, LAC, LAL frontcourts of the world.

Did Tillman (#2 in Memphis) get permission from Red's family to use his retired number yet?

Discount Grant Williams sounds really awful. Tillman doesn't deserve this.

He is more like a discount Horford without range. Nothing like Grant, or Rob.

One not so small thing about the acquisition of this player. Brad has talked this year and in the past about not just adding talent but the RIGHT kind of person to this lockerroom. Tillman is married with 2 kids. He adds to a lockerroom with a lot of "family men". Jrue is married with 2 kids. Derrick is as well Al also. Tatum isn't married but his family including both parents and his son is a big part of everything he does. I believe KP is engaged. Sam got married last offseason. Even Brissett has a longtime girlfriend. I think JB and Pritchard may be the only guys in our regular rotation who are either married nor have kids and may not be connected to anyone (correct me if I'm wrong).

Point is, I don't think it's coincidence that Brad keeps acquiring guys like this. Hoopers who love to ball and then go home to their families. Not to say that if you're not married or have kids you're distracted but there's a very big family dynamic on our roster.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

My dislike for Harden is strong. If he ever becomes a Celtic, I'll consider becoming a Lakers fan.

This is quite an underrated consideration that often as fans we ignore or don't get a lot of insight into.

We've been conditioned to treat these guys as 2k assets or chess pieces measured on tangible outputs, but these factors that create the environment are just as crucial to get right particularly with an abundance of talent and personality colliding together.

This is a great point. Brad might be looking to ship out Jaylen and Pritchard in the off season.

Grant already gone. Then traded Smart right before he got married just in case it doesn't go through.
