Doesn't Springer and Walsh play a little PG?

With KP out for maybe half the season, the top 8 will be down to 7.

That means the 8th and 9th spot in rotation will be up for grabs.

Candidates for the 2 spots should be X, Luke, Walsh, Springer, and Bay.

If Joe goes 10-men then the better.

Walsh, no.

Springer, I saw some of that when he got to play.

But his natural position is SG.

It's been a while since Celtic fans are not expecting anything major in free-agency.

The price of being champs.

Walsh can bring the ball, as well.

Yeah, maybe that's why the Cs are not prioritizing getting a true PG.

They drafted Bay then went for a 6-8 player in the 2nd round and another 6-8 guy in Enaruna.

Guess that's the luxury of having the Jays as playmakers.

Yeah, that too. We have a lot of ball Handlers. Still, I'd like to see another PG, as a Two-Way.

Yeah I've always thought that either of White/Jrue could realistically be our primary ball-handler. So between them and PP you go 3 deep already. Then you've got the Jays who can initiate the offense, plus the likes of Springer/Walsh and now Scheierman as wings who can handle the ball a bit.

I think we'll also see a two-way PG signed to one of the three slots which gives us even more regular season depth at the position.

Those look like silly numbers! I know they were tossing up 3s, but 5-8 a game per for the top guys, where was I?! Looks crazy to see it like that.

Wait, even crazier, weren’t most of the guys getting about 10 shots or less?!!! Dang!
NAME ON THE FRONT OF THE JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!)

Modern NBA teams like the Celtics haven't any need of a traditional point guard. Who is the PG of the Celtics?

2023-24 Assist Rates

Derrick White ===== 21.2%
Jayson Tatum ===== 21.0
Payton Pritchard === 20.7
Jrue Holliday ====== 19.3
Jaylen Brown ====== 16.6

Assuming Brissett and Svi aren't coming back, Celtics are retaining 92.95% of their regular season roster and 98.1% of their playoff roster (in terms of minutes played) from the title season.

By trading for Klay Thompson, 2024 Finalist Mavs added another champion to their roster. In comparison, the Celtics added 12 champions to their roster.

Looking back on Antoine walkers stats. He looks really good in 2000-02 but 3 pt pct fell off in 02-03. Was he really ahead of his time?
