Couldn’t ask for a better shot to end regulation, but he missed it. Heads were rolling. JT, a superstar who is damned if you don’t, damned if you do.

That's never how it works. You should know that by now.

According to Noa Dalzell that was a good defensive play by Brown?!

Doing it without Porzingis. Winning the title really raised expectations this season.

Seriously.....we're fine. My only issue with the start of the year is there's actually a team that's 13-0. WTF?

I’m not saying y’all don’t watch other teams, but we are lucky! when I say there are teams floating around .500 and the media and fans act like they are playing excellent! They win 2 in a row and next thing you know, they have been amazing this season. :o

We have lost 3 games, coming off the chip and we’re still trying to find out why we aren’t undefeated like the Cavs… who went out in the second round and had a real summer off. We’re spoiled! I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with them and they are still beating everybody.

Thanks Celtics!

Yeah, of the 8 four factors (offensive and defensive) we're top 5 in 3 (eFG% off, TOV% off, FT/FGA def) top 10 in another (FT/FGA off) and between 11 and 15 in 3 more (DRB%, Turnover% (defensive), eFG% def).

We just need to clean up the boards, get more physical and apply more ball pressure. We're not fully engaged. When we have a big rotation of KP/Queta/Al I think we'll be in much better shape on the boards and all those numbers will improve. Not to mention they can play with more effort when they need to.

There's 82 games. It's hard to repeat. As much as we want to see it as fans, we're not going to give full effort every night, and if they did it might even be counterproductive.

They shot 39% from 3, we shot 34%, and we won. Weren't we pretty mediocre last year when we shot under 40%? Also, missing Jrue and KP, as R2G pointed out, is not nothing.

There's nothing to be disappointed about here. I'm happy to see that Queta continues to emerge.

Just saw the slides, it looks like Tat has 7 game winners, 3 threes, not much better looks than tonight. Another near 3 with a foot or so inside it. 3s seem to be his wheelhouse. The other 3 buckets, 1 jumper fading sideways, 1 spin and lay in vs bkn to steal that g1 playoff game with less than a blink, and one layup through/around 2 defenders (and1!). His “best” shot was probably the jumper fadeaway because he got optimal space for a middy. The one against bkn, the spin layin in a blink, was probably second or a tight race for first as far as a “good shot.”

Yeah, most of the shots weren’t the best you’d draw up, but they rarely are. Those defenders were there with a solid contest on all but the fadeaway, still wasn’t easy. Heck, he spun kyrie out of his shoes, but there was nearly no time to get it off. Wonderful!

Most of them were open/wide open, so most are good shots
PP, Hauser, White and Brown shot 30% or less on 36 attempts
If they shoot their average - this is a blowout

I hate that we seem like a one trick team, and would have liked to see more penetration (like the in Nets game), but this is our team now and we won a championship this way, so who am I to complain

Dick and the Raptors did more penetration than the Celtics, that's for sure.

Doesn't seem like a one-trick team to me at all. There's a lot of variety in how the Cs get open for 3-point attempts.

That's like calling a football team "one-trick" because most of their offense comes from passing.

Raptors puns:

Canadian team goes South!
Canadian invasion thrown back
Dinosaurs too young!
Dinosaurs go extinct!
Raps fail at freestyle

If the last allusion eludes you, I offer an example in:

I like that we’re winning even though teams are geared up to play us, and shots aren’t dropping. Ended up34% from 3 for the game, but it was uglier than that for a while.

I also like that JB was dribbling against b attacking Davion Mitchell and I wasn’t that worried about him turning it over.

Raps had a 7-point lead in the 3rd.

Credit PP for helping in erasing that lead.

Yes, I too feel there's something mentally challenging for JT in the clutch. As it would with 99% of us notwithstanding.

Not this time though :D

Defensive performance was unacceptable. Shows how much they rely on Jrue. Too much apparently. Good to win anyway.

Always enjoyed the fact that Tatum is a more humble/more introverted type of champion player, not a show pony who likes to ham it up after a big play.. he is a quality kid JT.

Well I saw that, but as shown in the interview I'd say he was mostly relieved to put the game to bed once and for all against a bad team.
