IMO, we have less than a 10% chance of winning a title with this roster, unless KP is healthy the rest of the way. If our starting 5 is healthy, I like our chances of course. That's not likely. This team needs someone to get buckets off the bench besides Pritchard. If was mind blowing to no sign Lonnie Walker, unless he was a head case, which I haven't heard him to be. White would know better than most because he played with Walker in San Antonio.

Looking like the new CBA is working.
If the Cs are having a problem like that then that's what the new CBA wants to happen.
Trades or a trade is not realistic this season.
There's no way Brad is going to trade any of the top 8.
So that leaves us with picks and Springer's contract.
Or just bring Lonnie Walker back.
The bigger problem is internal.
It's really looking like the Celtics are not hungry for another championship.
They can't seem to play hard on a regular basis.

Al is old and Kornet is flat out not a good defender.. of course KP is either injured or out or too slow at this time..other teams are invading our interior most nights. Playing 8 players often will Burn them out as well.
Our team cannot sustain defense in this regular season unless something changes.
Until then I expect much more of the same
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Cs will be fine.
60 wins is still possible.
January will give us a clearer picture of where this team will end up record-wise.
62-20 is most likely the best result.
60-22 is still good.

It starts with the defence, they’re not even trying to guard. Easy shot after easy shot, on the other end we are just chasing 3’s.
Defend. Drive the ball. Kick it.
Turner had a ton of easy shots inside with just simple passes, all because our guys can’t guard the perimeter. Also, we are bigger with hali and nembhard/tj inside together, yet we bail them out by chucking all the 3’s we can get. We were careless with the ball, leading to a sloppy transition D.

Exactly! Boggles my mind how Tatum doesn’t bring Hali up every time down the court, that’s money. JB took Nembhard to rack a few times but JT just wanted to jack threes.

In the playoffs, the defense will be tougher and the pace slows down.
The only shot that's really going to be open is the 3-point shot.
Steph Curry won 4 championships relying on the 3-point shot.
We need JT to master that shot because the Celtics will need that from him.

I love JT but there is a big difference between him and Steph shooting 3’s.
He started what 0/7 from 3? He is one of the biggest, most athletic dudes on the court. Take it to the hole and stuff it.

Yeah, JT is not as great as Steph when it comes to shooting 3s.
That's why JT needs more reps.
Mastering the shot requires a lot of attempts.
Taking it to the hole is something he's good at.
So why focus on something that you're already good at?
We need JT to master the 3-point shot because it's a weapon that will be invaluable in the playoffs.

What was the criticism of JT in last season's playoffs?
Fans kept saying his shooting was awful, right?
So how can you get better at shooting if don't shoot a lot of shots?
It may cost the Cs a few games, but it will payoff in the postseason.

Tatum's taking .196 of his shots from 0-3', which is the lowest in his 8 years in the league.

10 years from now, JT will be breaking or close to breaking Steph's record for 3-pointers made.
Steph is on the verge of breaking the 4,000 mark for 3-pointers made.
Breaking Steph's record is more valuable than the MVP because 4,000 3s made is GOAT material.

Can they play 3 good games in a row? Or even 2..

We'll find out next week.
Minny, Houston, OKC, and Denver in a one week span.

This team is capable but they need to focus on D and bring intensity to win. They haven’t been doing that. Does some kind of shakeup in the roster help? I doubt it. I know that Lonnie **** Walker isnt the answer though.

Lonnie Walker is another reason people will be mad at Joe, 'cos he will be sitting on the bench a ton while he relies on guys who's been on the team longest (aka Kornet). Not the answer to our defensive issues either.

This is correct. The team has one and only one rim protector and he is always in street clothes. The interior defense is non existent which creates other problems all over the floor.
Also, Jrue Holiday is a master of receiving the pass out of a JT trap and swinging it quickly or scoring himself. He has been missed.
