Just watched the ending of the Cavs-IND game
WOW
Nesmith with two winning plays
Haliburton with the dagger, but with more crucial baskets

Rebounding the missed FT was Cavs demise (a lot is hustle but some is pure luck)
THE MAIN THING WAS - when down by a lot with about 2 min left - IND just attacked the basket for 2s, as the paint was wide open
No contested 3s, no stupid heaves. Just attack the basket for easy 2s or fouls

Cavs missing Mobley was huge, as they conceded offensive rebounds when it mattered and the paint was wide open

Exactly. You give yourselves a chance by shooting sure two’s, chipping the lead away. Celtics tried to go for the home run. Hali attacked the rim. Together with siakam and turner.

Somebody should tell JT that Klay Thompson holds the record for most 3pt attempts in a single game with 24 3pt attempts.

Maybe JT will want to break that record.

I know all of us are expecting the Cs to attack the basket more in this game, I think the Cs will still attempt 40 3-pointers in this Game 2.

Rick Slick said he thought JT took the leap this season when it comes to clutch. He said, what he saw last game was JT of old. What he said was right. Kat, hart and Brunson was in foul trouble, and they didn’t attack them at all. Bailing them out by taking 3’s non stop. He also said that this was how lost the championship against the warriors. I think we lost to the heat in game 7 conf finals playing like this. Its fine if we’re making shots, but if we’re missing and continue to chuck, then something is dead wrong, and that’s on Joe. JT lost the finals mvp playing like this. Chucking and missing 3’s. Game 5 of the finals, JT decided to attack the basket and played great, but it was too late to persuade voters. I really hope he gets it this time. I can’t wait for next game. If they take this series seriously, this should be a gentleman’s sweep.

40 is better than 60. If they mix it up, i’ll be happy.

I somewhat agree.

A compromise would be 30 to 35 attempts from 3pt land.

Knicks really have no rim protector.

So just pound the Knicks inside.

That's what KP is for.

I agree. If JT and JB attacks the rim, nobody is stopping them. Its a basket or a foul. They should just post up everytime, then kick out for the 3ball if double comes.

Great point instead of always saying 'we missed shots we usually make'.

You guys act like KP is some kind of low post threat.

Dude had guards switched off on him last series and was pump faking them and missing shots instead of being strong and just shooting over them or taking it to the rim.
He's a perimeter oriented big who's timid in the paint. At 7'3, one of the softest I've ever seen.

I can't envision him all of a sudden finding his manhood...let's be real here.

Same thing JT did. Brunson was guarding him multiple times, and all the time he took side step 3’s. KP is not himself, or Joe is not using him properly. Even last years finals, he posted up and hit shot after shot in the perimeter. He is just having a bad stretch. If he can’t sink his mid range post ups, better make him a decoy or a lob threat, but that doesn’t happen if nobody is attacking inside.

You're missing the point.

KP gets it at the FT line and he will score or get fouled.

He can also rim-run.

His post-up is not Shaq-like, but he can shoot over shorter defenders.

It's not like the guy is not a scorer.
He averaged 19.5 ppg this season, for crying out loud.

The alternative is Al Horford, who has trouble getting off a shot inside the paint or he will just kick the ball back out to the 3pt line.

Play the cards that you're dealt with.

Well I'm glad the Pacers pulled that off last night should be extra motivation not to screw around...

IMO, the rest of this series will have nothing to do with KP.

Let the horses carry them across the finish line.

No need for Joe to do hack a Robinson also. That wasn't the reason they got a 20 point lead, but it did really muck things up for any type of groove during that 1st half.

If KP can't contribute in this series then we're going to have a long series.

Let's not forget that KP also provides rim protection.

I hope people realize that there is no other game-plan besides jacking up threes. We just have to hope when Boston shoots 60+ threes tonight they don't miss 45 of them.

Another bad shooting night from this team and we are likely looking at NY and Indy in the ECF.

Last season's playoff gameplan was not centered around 3's like the regular season. 3pta's dropped in the playoffs.

This postseason the C's didn't shoot more than 37 3pts's against Orlando.

I think game one was a one game anomaly that will get rectified starting tonight.

Nowww, if they come out on fire from 3 to start than maybe they break a playoff record. :D

But I think tonight is more bully ball.
