They got out of the second apron pretty cleanly. No complains.

I guess we have a $22 million TPE for KP-for-Niang trade too. So we'll have a year to receive a player making up to $22 into that TPE without sending salary back out. I'm also intrigued by Anfernee Simons, I know his defense was bad last couple of years but Andrew Nembhard's defense and Haliburton's defense were horrific last year. And they went to gm 7 in the Finals.

Brad has done well in the last 24 hours.

Perhaps take an economics class?

I think people are upset by what these trades mean moving forward. Not the actual trades. If that makes any sense.

Depends on what Simons can bring, we’re currently only down Jrue (the idea of him from the cup run).

Al and Korny will be known later, so can’t really say.

We really aren’t much different than last season before injury. Yes, we’re down Tatum, this same team was good without him (won without Jrue too IIRC). Just stay good until he comes back a month or so before the playoffs.

I never said we’ll win or get to the chip, I’m just not counting us out and thinking will be trash. We haven’t done much of anything that tells me we are much worse. Much worse than the chip team? ABSOLUTELY, but that was what we were last season anyway.

I know what some of you are saying, I heard you, I’m just not listening right now.

I really want to know what has changed from last season, so far? What have we lost?

Well said.

Let me just add that the NBA has been unpredictable since 2019.

So if the Cs are in the playoffs in March and are still playing in early May, anything can happen.

Read the old stuff, they thought we’d be paying to unload both of them. We didn’t pay for either. Didn’t get anything for Porzi but we didn’t pay to clear him out either. We got a young 19ppg scorer for Jrue and 2 seconds.

Now all of a sudden they are acting like they didn’t think we were going to lose assets to send them out.

I think JB could still be a trade candidate. With new CBA going to be tough to build going forward with him and tatum's contract.

According to reports earlier, Kornet is not about the money.

He loves it in Boston, so I think he stays for a reasonable contract.

I know Al is 175, I still want him back if it’s between him and Korny.

Brad Stevens is the man. Replaced aging Holiday with startable guard with comparable advanced stats and almost got us out of the 2nd apron by trading away Porzingis who was no help in the play-offs for just Niang.

We are not done by any means - now we finally have the flexibility to move players as a normal NBA team. Don't expect Simons or Niang to remain here for a full season.

In general, it's the same people that always complain non-stop, even right at the doorstep of a championship. Take this as an opportunity to make your ignore list better.

If the reports are coming from Kornet or his agent, then maybe.
If Boston offers Kornet 2 years/$11 million and another team offers him 3 years/$34 million, we will see what Luke chooses.

No it isnt. That is not a champ level trio in this league...especially with Joe coaching.

A number of teams has a superior core

2025 - $135.1M
2026 - $145.7M
2027 - $152.2M

They needed a bunch of assistance to win one chip and fumble HC every other year. We’re ****ed

We have a million 2nd rounders. Maybe the next Joker is out there.

Is that correct if we want to fully fill out the roster?

We are.

4.5m below the 2nd apron to be exact.

Since the Cs already have Baylor and Niang, I expect the next trade will be Sam Hauser.

Trading Sam will give the Cs some cap space for Luke and Al.

Immm not many. Yes there is a big question about how strong Tatum will come back but that is a fantastic core.

I know how great Kyrie is, but 40m on those knees? Luka was “too fat” to pay though? A top 5 player, but he was too much to pay? I really don’t understand the Mavs. Yeah, I get it, you HAD to pay Kyrie atp. I’m just not understanding why they put faith in two oft injured guys over a guy that was not in top NBA shape, but led you to the Finals.
