Woj says they are gaining traction, Bulpett says they aren't doing anything..

this tells me Bulpett is an idiot.

I don't think it really works that way, though. Hasn't anybody here ever been on ebay? :) The question isn't whether or not Houston wants to trade Asik; they obviously do. The question is how much the other 28 GMs in the league want to add Asik to their roster. Since there are several other teams apparently interested in his services, Houston has plenty of leverage here. Ainge still has to make sure he has the best offer out there at the end of the day. With that said, I would be surprised if Asik is acquired for much of a discount at all...

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Serious talks on Boston-Houston package for Asik have included Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee and a 1st round pick, sources tell Yahoo.

yes please. Hope it's not our own first round pick. But if he gets Asik for Bass and Lee. I am ALL for it

Lee is going back to Houston - and has also been a very efficient bench scorer for us. He will be missed if he is indeed traded - more so than people think.

We wont win more games because of this at the end of the season.

That's a lot to give up, but remember those two, other than Wallace, were generally considered our two worst contracts at the start of the season.. And if we get Asik today, we still have the ability to move him at the deadline..

They seem like some good guys off the court so at least they might be landing in a great spot.

Hesitant to give up any pick, even the Clips pick next year...but getting rid of that kind of money may be worth it.

Seems like a bit much to give up. Lee has been playing pretty well this season.

I'd do it, gets us out of those deals and allows Crawfish more playing time when Rondo comes back.

I'd love that reported trade. Absolutely love it.

I feel like the Celtics could get a first rd pick for Jordan Crawford from a team like the Heat. So losing a pick could be offset by another trade.

When has Bulpett ever broke any big story? I trust outside sources more, and Woj is a very good source.

I wonder if any guys won't dress tonight, as that will be a sure tipoff to a trade.

Bulpett vs woj. Hmm. Bulpett is good, Woj is never wrong. Celts must be mum here. I don't know what to think. Bulpett is proven.

Danny isn't as dumb as the clippers and Brooklyn. What we pick he gives up if any will be heavil protected.

I also don't wanna give up the pick. Not sure how bass and lee aren't good enough for a guy that doesn't even wanna be there.

But I should reiterate that I had zero idea what asik is or could be but if he's just a slightly better version than Perkins I don't think it's worth it.

Understood, but if no one else is offering something they feel is incredibly valuable (and I don't think anyone is going to break the bank for a disgruntled, offensively-challenged player who wants to be dealt), they'll have to settle for less.

While Bulpett is very plugged in, he's definitely being fed by the Celtics. Clearly his sources within the organization want him to spin it like nothing is happening.

Bass, lee and a first is fair value for a big like Asik. People thinking Houston had no leverage.... They got the player. Every team in the nba could use Asik. Houston wants a pick, and got 2 rotation players. Celts? They have duplication, so are dealing from depth. That's a great trade IMO for both teams.

As long as A.fraud Blakely does not report on this trade going done it may actually happen.
