James Young has scored 56 points this season. He would be thrilled if someone wants to pay him that 2.8 mil. I think he may have saved his career but he is likely a minimum salary guy except for the team that has his bird rights. He isn't a player your going to use cap space or a slotted exception for.

I think that could change if he has a good second half. Either way, Ainge isn't losing sleep over option - not worth losing cap flexibility.

Most likely Crowder's gone in one of these deals. We'd have to wing it at SF, but that's fine.

I actually think that they probably discussed this when the decision between him and Hunter was being made. Barring someone losing their mind Young is best served by just staying on schedule with the team that has his Bird Rights if they were willing to do that. Probably not he really has had 6 useful games in 3 seasons.

If we overpay for anyone it has to be Cousins.

There are multiple options who to include in cousins trade.

Again, as in Butler trade...We can get Cousins and still have max space for Hayward. That should be the plan.

Ab +brk 17+smart...Is this enough? One or two first?

If Danny can get Cousins now, he's going all in for both him and Butler. He isn't waiting for Hayward.

Lol if the Kings trade him to New Orleans that would be very stupid.

There isn't a deal New Orleans could put together (aside from AD which won't happen) for Cousins that we couldn't better.

Pelicans... the Cousins market must be real low looking at this and the Orlando offer that apparently Kings were willing to accept.

Pelicans make no sense to me unless it's AD.

If not AD, New Orleans owes no 1sts to anyone so maybe it would be like a BKN deal? But then why wouldn't they just get that offer somewhere else?

Two of Brown, BKN 17, BKN 18 + Filler
Handsome.

Whoever we give BKN 17 to, the other team would have to get BKN 18 and Jaylen. I'd be fine with giving up all 3 if we landed both Butler and Cousins. I just don't know which team would not expect BKN 17.

I would absolutely get Boogie. Do what it takes. He puts this team in a position to challenge Cleveland

Wow, fellahs, whole lotta smoke these past few days... Looking like a possibility that there can at least be genuine discussions about Butler, George, and Cousins, and I particularly love George's comment about seeing IT (although with IT being one of the more well liked guys in the league, this comment could be a bit more innocuous than it seems). This shifts me from thinking there is 5% chance of a trade to 15%.

I can't quit Boogie, and, mostly because if they're looking at NO, they realize he isn't worth two BKN picks.

Good discussion on this board of the merits of George vs Butler, I prefer the former, though I have reservations that Bird would send him our way. I do love the possibility that Butler could possibly come with Gibson or Lopez. Again though, low chance of a trade, and I'm still uncertain if I just don't outright prefer using the BKN pick and hopefully signing Hayward. We're in a good place.

Now, can anyone offer some explanation on the PJ Tucker connection. I am a Gallo fan at the right cost, but Tucker is 31 years old, his shooting percentages aren't great, and while he rebounds relatively well for his position, would he have any value here other than being a replacement should Crowder get moved? I don't watch much PHO at all... Is he a plus defender? Someone help make sense of this for me. I put the odds of a Gallo trade at 2%, fwiw.
You gotta make it sexy! Hips and nips, otherwise I'm not eating.

Yes we have to do it...Probably they would want Smart and 17 for start.
