He had to catch a pass that was at his foot by Smart. Completely threw him off the 3 point line and any chance of taking a corner 3.

So he was trying to recover from another off target pass by Smart that is kind of Smart's trademark as a passer. It gets there, just not anywhere near where you want it to capitalize on it.
