What I'm more perplexed about with the Rondo signing is how he and LeBron are going to work. That's a really weird fit.

That also tells me that Lonzo is likely on his way out.

He met with LA today as well

I believe Charlotte, as well.

So I think he has met with OKC, LA and Charlotte so far.

Hmmm interesting. He'd be a good fit for all those teams, especially OKC since their bench is so weak.

Different circumstances I know, but I mean he got mad and is still pissy at Ray Allen to this day for going to kneel before the “enemy” Lebron to ring chase.

Yet here he is doing the same. It’s just a bit hypocritical.

Not even remotely close to the same circumstances. Ray Allen turned down more money from the Celtics to play for their biggest rivals and threw pretty much everyone--especially Rondo--under the bus in doing so.

Hence why I put “different circumstances”.

Either way, did Pierce sign with “Team Lebron” after his time in BKN ended? Nah he signed with Washington to try and beat him.

Did KG ask to get traded to a contender or a James led team to steal another ring? Nah, he accepted a trade back to Minny to coach the young guys.

Rondo went to ring chase with Lebron. I still love the guy, but don’t see him cut from the same cloth as Pierce and KG anymore.

He’s now in Perk territory.

He is absolutely, positively NOT in Perk territory. Perk was literally a LeBron cheerleader on the bench. He didn't even play. Rondo at least will actually be playing.

And you said it was kind of "hypocritical" on Rondo's part, which was why I underlined the fact that it is entirely different circumstances and not hypocritical.

Dude, please. Rondo will be on the bench cheering for Lebron just as much as Perk did.

You think Magic is going to allow Rondo, a guy there for one year of depth and nothing more, to suck up minutes that could be given to Lonzo? Not a shot.

Rondo is coming off a really, really good season. Are you gonna sit there with a straight face and tell me he isn't going to play for the Lakers? And Lonzo is probably gone. It's no secret that LeBron does not like the Ball show.

Perk literally didn't play AT ALL. This is not even CLOSE to the same thing.

Except for the fact that this was Perk’s SECOND STINT playing for team James and DID play his first go-around, so the point you’re trying to make is moot.

Rondo is a stop gap and nothing more, who’s there for a shot at a ring.

You trying to tell me otherwise isn’t changing my mind, so save your breath.

I don’t like rondo, but, give him some slack. They are going to pay him to play hoops win Lebron. He’s a moron if he doesn’t sign that deal.

You think Magic is paying him 9 million to sit on the bench? He's not wasting Lebron on developing anything but sure thing rookies, whoever out of Rondo and Lonzo is the most productive will play and I've got my money on Rondo.

Is this Laker team better than the Cavs of last season?

Remember the hype after the deadline? And When Isaiah got back there? Before and after the Irving trade and the deadline trade.

Supporting cast 1.0

Wade
Crowder
Isaiah
Green
JR
Kardashian
Love

Supporting cast 2.0

Love
JR
Green
Kardashian
Clarkson
Nance
Hill
Hood

To Lakers Supporting cast 1.0

Lance
JaVale
KCP
Rondo
Hart
Kuzma*
Ingram*
Ball***
Wagner

* ( could be gone in a trade, not necessarily KL )
*** ( definitely gone, maybe waived if no team would touch him or LaVar )

How is that team better than either Cavs Supporting cast last season?

Rondo will embarrass Lonzo. Rondo, and ya’ll can look up history and know I wasn’t a huge fan, is what Lonzo hopes to be one day.

Rondo, at his best, could literally dominate a game without taking a freakin shot. That’s how good motivated and focused rondo was.

We paid Tyler Zeller 9 million to ride the bench as salary ballast. Lakers are preserving their cap space for a run at Kawhi in a years time. That said I think Rondo has a good chance to start because Ball just can’t stay healthy
