Alright lads hear me out... This just entered my mind. We’ve known Ainge has been hoarding assets for years to get Davis. What if he traded for Kyrie to ensure Davis would sign long-term? We all know Davis has been the main goal since the rebuild, not Kyrie.

Zach Lowe said after the trade that he felt this was a big reason we made the deal.

I want AD but I think I'd prefer Tatum/Zinger around what we have. I think Jaylen Brown and a couple 1st may be good enough to get Porzingas.

Logic says otherwise. Ainge said Kyrie is the only untouchable. So great in theory but contradicts Ainge and he never lies. Gets what he wants by being transparent.

Ainge is gotta feel real good about Kyrie staying if he turns down a play at KP to focus in on AD

The porzingis thing has to be a joke, before the injury was already likely that he would have a short career or short prime at best, now after it, it's even much more likely, not to mention that he lacks stamina or how overrated he was just because a great stretch in October and November (he was terrible in a lot of games).

What people don't understand about Ainge is that he's "go big or go home" type of GM. If Davis gets traded somewhere else and Kyrie leaves, it will be a fail but he tried to go big.

And if trades for Davis and he leaves with Irving its even worse.

I dont buy it for a second.
