The 2021-2022 I Wouldn't Trade Brown for Simmons Because He's a Clown Trade Thread

Smart is a tool who I can’t stand but he’s right. Both Tatum and Brown need to revamp their games so they become better play makers. Both are capable. It’s up to them or Ime to force the issue if they won’t. The reason I’m always calling for PP and Nesmith to start is because their (theoretical) 3 pt shooting helps spread the floor and both the Js need it. I did predict “player’s coach” Ime would play less talented/effective veterans over them so this isn’t a surprise. We just have to hope he’s not a beta and has the cajones to start them and put Smart on the 2nd unit. For some reason coaches seem scared of Smart lol. It’s kinda pathetic. I think I was alone thinking signing Smart was a terrible move. He’s not half the defender he used to be, not a leader and is a certifiable knucklehead. I just don’t get it

I'd be down for bringing in Prince and the New Power Generation. Or Will Smith if that's what you mean.
Oh but Taurean Prince? Not sure how I feel about $12M for 2.9ppg, that's Marcus Smart territory.

"Tatum for KAT" is fine fodder for the trade board, I'd bet most fans of both teams say they wouldn't do it.

I'd do it if we were looking like we'll finish .500 or lower.

We should try and go after Dragic. I know he is 35, but he is certainly a leader on the court. Just spit balling here, but Richardson and Hernangomez gets it done for our end salary wise. Don't know about from Toronto though. Don't think it would be a good look moving Smart after signing him to his extension.

Smart gets more touches in that scenario. I feel like at some point they're going to have to choose Smart or Brown. I've got a feeling that this management and ownership would choose Smart at this point. Tatum and Brown are flight risks at this point.

Dragic would be perfect for this team. Honestly. The player they've needed for 2 seasons is so painfully obvious its a Dragic/Rondo type that can move the ball and control the pace and put a couple of buckets in.

Smart/Jaylen/Towns core wouldn’t work, need at least one elite player, preferably two. Would just be this team, except worse because the downgrade from Tatum to Towns.

But I’d like to see the Jay’s for at least half of this season, in the new system.
