I wouldn't even say it's an unwritten rule. This is Journalism 101 stuff. Not gonna pretend to know all the inner workings of that business or that I even remember MOST of the two journalism courses I took in college.. but even 19-year old 15th knows that's like 10 steps beyond tabloid journalism and any editor worth damn would laugh in either of these guys faces--- and 19-year old 15th wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire with his bullisht columns in the school paper.

Where did your Celtics emblem go 15th? Haha

Really good breakdown of sullinger and olynyk a few pages back, on the money informative stuff. Just wanted to again highlight olynyks maddening hestince, especially behind the arc. Cool player though unique skill-set

Never had one. I figure if someone can't tell I'm a Celtics fan, they're probably not worth talking to. lol.

It's funny reading the GB they don't think we can get Love and our isn't enough but Lee and Barnes is a good package for Love. Funny people.

I understand that the General Board is where the audience for Pardon The Interruption is kept captive.

Seems like it. I was told I was overrating Boston's assets a bit when I said #6, Sullinger, 2 or 3 future first round picks, and cap relief was better than almost every package out there. I asked him to name me a better one. He reupp'd with Lee and Barnes or Parsons and Lin.
Wut.
I have to be in bizzaro land. This is way past me being biased for Boston. This is just getting crazy.

It'll make it that much more fun to read the GB if/when we get Love. But then, of course the tune will change to "Love on the Celtics isn't good enough to make the Playoffs", "He'll walk next offseason", "Rondo and Love are statpadders", etc. Who cares either way, it's obvious to anyone who's paying attention that we're one of the front runners for a Love deal. It seems like most of the people on the GB haven't even been following the recent rumors/reports up to this point and are just basing their opinions on the rumors they heard months ago about Love going to LA.

Every fan is bias I understand that but I know other team assets and posible offers for Love. The Celtics have good assets we have young players, a lot of picks , a high lottery pick and we can give cap flexibility to other teams but I also understand that a team like the bulls can come in offering Mirotic, Butler, Gibson and a few picks to rival our offer or Was could offer Beal and even the Warriors could offer Klay and Barnes. This offers could compete with the C's offer.

Re: Love in town to "see what it's like"
If we do get Love, I guess I have to be prepared for the general fans and media to tell us we were "gifted" a star again like with Garnett. To this day, I have no idea what the hell people are smoking when they say McHale gifted us Garnett. We traded a 20/10 22 year old big man. It's not our fault their management failed to do anything useful with the talent we gave them. They could have Rubio/Curry/Jefferson/Love in their starting lineup right now if they weren't so dense.
All of that because of the Garnett trade.
It's especially funny when a Laker fan says we were gifted Garnett (cough Pau cough).

The teams that are in position to get stars get a lot of hate. It's not our fault that we have awesome ownership and front office that can get things done.

Re: Love in town to "see what it's like"
Teams that can offer better than the Celtics are probably Cleveland, Philly, and Utah. Chicago and Washington is on par or a little bit worse depending on what you want to do with your team. That's it in my opinion. Honestly I feel Utah is a huge dark horse here. Trey Burke, #5, and Kanter for Love would be a really good deal. That would leave the Jazz with a core of Hayward/Love/Favors, which is an extremely versatile starting lineup. I don't even understand how GSW and Houston is in the running. Their assets are being overrated by their W/L record.
I think Utah would be scared off by the lack of extension talks, though. I think Cleveland and Philly keep their picks.

It's amazing how a few posts on a message board can be used by these scrum bag writers and passed off as their own insider info. Not doubting your sources at all...But I would be pissed.
I just ran a search through Google and found like 20 other articles.

My thoughts exactly. It is an unwritten rule you dont write articles about internet message boards. I'm flattered, but honestly what I do isn't for people to profit off of, its for us fans who are compelled to know more.
Thanks
I'd bet $20 that the article Ric Bucher wrote for Bleacher Report yesterday saying that Love prefers GS to Houston was just him parroting cyberx from clutchfans, lol.
On a related note, folks should keep it on the down low for a bit or at least just be vaguer. Teams have ways of tracing this back, and people do get fired for it. They are always welcome to pm me the good ****, however lol.

Re: Love in town to "see what it's like"
The more I ponder this situation....I think we HAVE to get Kevin Love...or we're in for many years of crappy basketball in Boston. What other realistic, young All-Star is out there to put with Rondo?
If Love comes--Rondo is happy, Other stars and role playing free agents might decide that this is the place to be...If he goes to say, Chicago or G.S.---Rondo might be traded, and we're at less than ground zero of a LONG rebuild.
Little did we know, that Flip Saunders (the guy who was brought in as an adviser a couple of years ago)--would hold so much importance to us now....it seemed kinda odd, and really insignificant when he was here....but maybe Danny knew that by doing a favor for Flip, he might be paid back somewhere down the road.
