Great

Might even raise that number to 6 players if we count summer league. Ben Wallace tried out for us, but of course ML Carr had him trying out as a 2/3.

I will raise you to 7 players. In Sheed's trade Lindsey Hunter was traded to Celtics...was Celtics member five days, didn't play single minute as a Celtics, was waived by us, then signed with Pistons (similar like Gary Payton with us after Toine from Hawks trade) and won a ring

Joe Johnson

Cliff Hagan is up there, if you want to include him, but he's slightly behind Billups and well behind Johnson.

Joe Barely Cares might make top 5 and in high likelihood makes top 10, again if he's included.

Westphal probably. Billups and Joe Johnson might have passed him. In fact I'll say Johnson.

Unless I misread Basketball Reference, Westphal scored a lot fewer than one might think.

Did we ever work out which team had the most future NBA head coaches playing on it?

An obvious candidate would be one that featured all of:

Sharman
Heinsohn
Cousy
Russell
Sanders
K C Jones

or perhaps:

Bird
Carlisle
Ainge
McHale
DJ
Vincent

If the count can be gotten to 7 or more I'm forgetting or have overlooked it.

The first list is particularly notable because, unless I'm mistaken, 4 of those guys won 2 head coaching championships each.

While I'm at it:

1. Which pairs of teammates, league-wide, were both later named Coach of the Year?
2. Which trio of teammates, league-wide, were later also all named Executive of the Year?
3. Which other pair(s) of teammates, league-wide, were both later also named Executive of the Year?
4. (Serves as a hint for the other questions) Who won both the Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year awards?

(I couldn't find a trio that all made Coach of the Year.)

Are any of these answers Celtics? Otherwise, I'll pass.

I'll leave this to others. I am only interested in Cs trivia on this thread.

1) Bill Sharman & Tom Heinsohn, Don Chaney & Don Nelson, Larry Bird & Rick Carlisle...i believe its all Celtics examples...league wide...Spurs Avery Johnson & Steve Kerr...i probably forgot someone
2) we have only Larry & Danny...so the only trio i could think off are Lakers Jerry West, Elgin Baylor & Pat Riley
3) yes, Larry Bird for Pacers and GOAT Danny Ainge for C's
4) I believe its only Red Auerbach, Pat Riley and Larry Bird
