Yes, because the best center in the league wouldn't be able to help this squad. I get that he's not a choir boy but if he was a perfect player then he would most certainly not be on the block. I think ultimately nothing is going to happen at the deadline because Ainge is risk averse in any deal where he isn't getting the clear edge by a country mile. But they can't possibly not top a deal of Buddy freaking Hield and a few future 1sts. Those firsts would be the middle or end of the 1st if you team up Davis and Cousins.

The NEW main issue with Boogie is that he wants over 200 million. NFW am I paying someone with questionable character that amount.

That's the new "super max" I would also gather that if you don't pay him 200 then 28 other teams would jump at that chance. I mean other than the fact Cousins doesn't shoot the 3 ball he would fit this team like a glove.

He would be a big time get for us. I think he could take a lot of Jerebko's minutes at the back up 4..Perfect guy to have in the playoffs if we meet guys like Beal, Wall, Lowry, DeRozan, Wade or bigger guys like Millsap and even those low key killers like the Morris brothers. Watching his defensive videos dude guards everybody in the league..Griffin, Cousins, Paul, Harden..could really be put in a perfect position here in Boston. Good luck going against Crowder, Tucker, Smart and Bradley for 7 games..that would be an absolute nightmare for any star player in the NBA.

Isn't PJ Tucker kinda like an upgraded version of Brandon Bass? Sounds like a good get for the right price. Signed for one year 5.3 mill, Phoenix should be looking to tank anyways.

The highlights make him look like Marcus smart.

It is the new summer max but I'm not willing to pay it to problematic players, if his mood goes wrong he will cripple this franchise and you won't be able to trade him and he will kill you for the life of the contract.

PJ Tucker is an okay piece for this team. He's an upgrade over G-Money. Since he's a wing that can defend and hit a little bit from the 3. But unless Phoenix is giving him away I can't see Danny trading for him.

Minnie pick + Young? Suns can afford to play Young big minutes and see what he's got, but they won't have any advantage CBA-wise to re-sign him.

Tucker would be a perfect fit as the back up SF with Brown as the back up SG.

But isn't that the same with anyone? IT signs his new deal next year and gets hurt then you have a guy making 20 million crippling this team. People will always take talent. Unless DMC loses that talent and all of a sudden turns into Mark Blount then you'll be able to move him.
We have also never seen Cousins in a stable environment. Something to consider here as well.

Tucker screams the type of player we would go after if we moved Crowder in a larger deal.

And we all know what happened the last time we acquired a PJ late in the season, after an all star game in New Orleans.
