Watching this football-centric show called All American. If we ever need someone to play Kemba Walker in a movie, I nominate Taye Diggs.

I mean...

Anyone checking out Dracula on Netflix. It’s really campy fun! I wanted to slam through it before moving on to heavier material with Messiah.

Finally saw knives out also...was great. Rian Johnson wants to make a sequel with Craig returning in his role and new ensemble cast and plot

Yeah. He said centered around Craig’s character (which I don’t love). Beauty of the First was the unconventional shared screentime of every character (imo)

That’s what I said too, that cast really made the movie particularly for me Evans and de armas but really all of them did great.

First episode didn't hook me, aside from the Sister Agatha character... Because of your post I watched episode 2 and loved it, especially the huge WTF ending. Will get around the ep 3 some time this week.

Spoiler:
When it seemed like Agatha was dead meat at the end of Ep 1, it dampened my enthusiasm to keep watching... so I was thrilled when she showed up in ep 2!

Yeah. I was midway through episode 2 when I sent that. Sadly, 3 is the worst of them. Still worth closing out the trilogy I guess. But it did disappoint I’m the home stretch. Episode 2 was definitely it’s peak.

I finished it, and yep, definitely a bit of a let down. Could kinda see what they were going for but they didn't nail the execution. Overall I guess it was worth the 4.5 hours, but only because I'm a sucker (heh) for Dracula material.

Spoiler:
They also left the whole 'shady funding' thing hanging, and I assume they will expand on some of that and involving Dr. Seward if they get another season... but yeah, the modern day setting scenes came across pretty poorly overall.

I thought 1917 was good, but not quite as good as I was hoping for to be honest.

It looks amazing in terms of locations, set design, costumes, cinematography etc, and the editing/special effects makes it look like it was filmed in basically two continuous tracking shots which is pretty impressive to do, but it just seemed to be missing something for me.

Definitely one to see on the big screen though.

Huh???

1917 was jaw dropping for me. It may not be like a personal top 10 movie for me but just from a cinematic achievement standpoint it's right up there with the best of all-time.

I've only watched the 1st episode, but I love the Sister Agatha character! All the performances are pretty fun imo.

Didn't explain that very well but from a technical standpoint 1917 will go down as one of the best cinematic achievements of all time IMO.

That single shot cam was incredible, what a feat.

Gotta see it at the theatres fellas and gals, don't cheat yourselves.

Haha. There were definitely a few issues but still a pretty miraculous accomplishment.

As for Oscars...Lupita not getting a nomination over Ronan, Erivo or Theron actually pisses me off.

Other most notable snubs for me are JLo and Egarton. Shocked by those omissions.

Also The Outsider with Ben Mendelsohn looks awesome. Best King book in many years.
