Geezus Christ. How long can you be out, from a hip injury???

Isn't hip surgery a thing? Seems to me you could be out forever with it - if they find it something bad.

Ask IT, it cost him a max contract. But he did have hip surgery in the end.

Anybody heard anything about Brown? Think he'll be ready for Friday's game? Because of the competition (Hawks), if JB isn't 100% better, they should just let him rest a bit more. I've been fighting with Sinus problems for a couple of weeks now, and I couldn't imagine trying to play a game of basketball after just a few days.

When Stevens said he was gonna start resting guys this January, he didn't actually mean people will start getting sick left and right, did he?

JBs from Atlanta area so I’m sure he wants to play and play well tomorrow. (edit to add: I know we're at home, but given how passionate ATL is about their Hawks there could be dozens of Georgia fans tuning in over the airwaves)

Is this Kemba thing a way to sit him without triggering the NBAs scanners? I mean the schedule is packed the next few weeks — then again Kemba’s prides himself on being an ironman— will be interesting to see. After the “Kyrie’s our with the sniffles” campaign my gut is to never want to see that sort of thing again but maybe that’s shortsighted (and maybe he’s actually just sick).

Home game. Cs only have one game in Atlanta. Either later this month or early next.

Kemba doesn't like missing games. Unless the doctors tie him to the bed, he's gonna play. They said he's runnung a fever 103.

It would be idiotic if he played sick VS a garbage team we should easily be able to blast without him.

Dude got the flu. Damn, it is so hard when it is flu season for these guys to stay healthy. Exposed to all those germs in public places, airports, hotels. Eww, gross.

Also, flu shots suck this year. Not as effective as they hoped as I am sure the Celtics players all go them.

No news on Brown means good news on Brown. I guess he's available to play after he missed a game with the flu.

I may be no Dr. Exculp, but garbage team or not, running a fever of 103 means not running up and down a basketball court all night, even for Iron Man Kemba.

Glad he'll get a chance to recoup while the team is on the road. Would love to see at least a few minutes of Trae vs. Tremont action. Hope Waters gets a chance to go with the team.

We still have Smart and Brad at PG - so I don't see big minutes for Waters.. Maybe Romeo can get some burn.. over Semi. One can hope..

Valid point.

Hopefully, we see TW after we TCOB in the first half.

Not the worst 3-game stretch to miss, if it comes to that. Hoping for Smart to be better in these next couple of games.
