Posted that one last night lol.

No, I meant the message from the linked thread. The one above it is a gem too

Yeah, bigtrade's was the one I posted yesterday.

Well... and grandtheftrondo's posts, too.

Wish we could go back to the original KG trade threads. There were months of them between the draft and the actual trade, and they were chock full of the worst takes ever written on anything lol. Board was overwhelmingly against that trade. So much so, that I created an account just to tell people they were absolutely **** crazy lol.

On the other hand, I think it's a rare Brinks truck that carries as much money as IT will get even in one year.

You gotta factor in the value of the truck too.

What do folks think about a potential #3 for Porzingas swap? Do you do it if NYK is up for it? I would think NYK only does the trade if Ball falls to 3.

Posted this idea earlier. I would. I'd even throw in Bradley. I imagine NYK wouldn't.

The Knicks would rightfully laugh at us

Hmm... After the lotto, I thought the majority opinion here was #1 for KP was an overpay, although this was at the heat of KP ditching a meeting with NYK, referring to the organization as being mismanaged, and expressing disdain for the triangle. I'd give up a large haul for him... He would elongate Horford's career, balance the roster, and I think he would be much better with Brad. I think this hinges on KP continuing to express dissatisfaction with NYK though.

3, Brown & the Lakers/Sac pick would keep them from hanging up the phone... :-)
Why not take a shot with that offer, you would still have Nets 2018 to trade for Butler and could sign
Hayward...

I don't think they're trading the Nets 18 if a big trade is made, I think the protected LA/Sac pick would be the big one going out

It also was before we realized that Danny had a surprisingly negative (or at least lukewarm) view of Fultz.

Though I have wondered often about Smitty being a Celtics, Patriots and Yankees fan, even though he explained it once.

His childhood friend's family were diehard NY fans and his family wasn't into baseball I believe. It's funny how many here have mixed teams. I mean, people often wonder about me and the Fins. But, like Smitty, it goes back to childhood and I am die hard, all in fan.

I'm pretty much Celtics only now, but I had a smorgasbord of favorite teams growing up. My parents were transplants who couldn't have cared less about pro sports, so my only gateway to sports was my much older half-brother who had a bunch of random swag.

So I basically picked all my favorite teams as a 5 year old picking logos and cool team names. Celtics, White Sox, Steelers and Penguins.

Picked all my teams when I was really young as well. Celtics, Steelers, and Reds. Have never wavered.

If we trade the whole haul for the Sixers trade to one team, we might as well make it a three-way, or have traded the other team #1 and let them use it as they see fit.

That said -- the deal w/ Philly isn't finalized, so none of those possibilities are technically off the table.

#1 and Jaylen would be a lot for Porzingis. It would be nice to at least get the Knicks pick coming back. They need to tank this season anyway. :)

HUGE IF TRUE, but it's not. :( Aldridge got it wrong... again.

My guess is that what is meant is that the pick to PHI is unprotected from LAL. PHI is then adding the protections when they flip it to Boston. We'll know for certain when it all goes official tomorrow.

Smitty how do you feel about this trade?

Have to see what is next. Way too early to judge anything. But I wasn't as enamored with Fultz as some were. I think he's the best guy in the draft, but I don't think the margin is all that wide.

I have today off and I have been watching a lot of Jackson footage. He is the best athlete in the draft and similar to Brown , I don't think his shooting is a big issue. If we keep this pick , I think he is the guy and one of Bradley/Crowder is moved before the season.

Brown/Jackson could be quite the force.

Where did you get this information, and how ironclad is this? In fact, Ntilikina's contract in Strasbourg has at least one more year to run, and there would have to be a buyout.

It has been reported as early as a year ago by most of the draft guys.

We are not drafting a guard, DA said as much. So it is between Jackson/Tatum. God I hope it is Tatum. Can't deal with ya'll hyping up another player who can't score.

Absolutely. But you said 3rd and Lakers pick only, now that we have 2-5 protection on the Lakers pick (if it's not 2-5 then Sac pick) it's much different. I'm of the opinion that the Lakers will be in the later part of the lottery next year. HUGE difference in value, especially with Vivek in charge of SAC

Can you send me a link? I can't find a single thing on the web indicating that Ntilikina would refuse a stash. He won't turn 19 until July 28th.

I believe it was Draft Express who answered question about it on Twitter, but I'm not going back and combing through a year's worth of tweets. It came back up again when the Early Entry list came out and was re-stated by several at that point.

And the point was that he intends to come over. I didn't say he would refuse a stash. It is just unlikely it would go that route. The kid is all about the NBA.

Marc Berman had a good article on him today too that makes it clear he's all about the NBA.

Jackson can score. He has excellent ball handling and can get to the rim. He's shown good touch with both hands. He'll be a 20 ppg scorer in his prime.

I don't think it's that much different. I think there is a decent chance the Lakers pick ends up 2-5. I will say though, the Kings SHOULD be trash the next couple of years so I'm kinda hoping thats the pick we get.

But come on now. You aren't gonna give me any props at all? I made that post a month ago dude. So cold. Damn lol. I just hope Danny didn't see that and get inspired if it turns out really bad for us. Haha.

If it ends up 2-5 next year, cool..we get two top flight bigs....if it pushes to the '19 sacto? We get a roll of the dice chance at zion, bagley, etc. Either one is a great outcome.
